Let's face it, this is the way the MOCO subtly (without legal ramifications) admits that they have a real weakness in their design, compounded by customers that improve the performance of their V-Twins. P&A is making money hand over fist as compared to the other profit centers I'd bet.

For your automatic compression release fans....another admmission maybe?  :nixweiss:

Screamin' Eagle® Automatic Compression Release Tool

94648-08 IN-STORE PURCHASE ONLY Contact dealer for pricing and availability. For machining of Original Equipment cylinder items or Screamin' Eagle® Performance items P/N 16952-08, 16953-08, 16952-99C and 16953-99C on '99-later Twin Cam-equipped models.  MSRP US $949.95

I'd seen that ACR "kit" too.  The brief time I spent reading the description the other day suggested it was more generally retrofittable too.  The HTCC heads on the read bike have ACRs in their OE casting.

Engine is such that except on very hot days with a heat soaked engine their use isn't a big deal.  Of course the rare times that they are a benefit are the time I least want to be stinking my favorite fingers in there.  So the ACR package I'll end up doing a little homework on sometime.  Hopefully the unfortunate history they've already learned the hard way with the 110's ACRs will have informed them and these won't be crap.

all you can say is "HD"......Hundreds of Dollars EVERY day!!! They need to change to "TD" thousands of dollars every day. Next thing you know, tires will be an option

Actually HD already covered that one with our SERK3 SERK4.  They created a llimited production bike that nobody will bother to make tires for except HD.
