C'mon guys you have to know that the Ultra is the only bike the MOCO makes enough money on to be able to afford the new heads on.

Guys I just picked up my V-Rod from the 10,000 mile service + 28 tooth pulley installation and they informed me that their first recall 0905 kit was in and that it had my name on it seeing as I was the first person to call in and inquire about it.

She's going in tomorrow afternoon so I'll let you know the results.

Wish me luck.

Mine is also in and Nemo's going in on Monday to get the work done.  My rear ACR has failed (doesn't open) so I'm looking forward to have that working again.  MoCo is giving the dealers 6 hours to do the job.  I'll report in when I get it back.  Hopefully it will be done on time because on Tuesday my wife's bike goes in for new wheels and tires.  She doesn't ride to work so I'll get to ride her Dyna Street Bob on Monday.  But Tuesday could be the truck... ARGGGHHH.

Ride Safe,

Well, I'd love to let you all know how the "product improvement campaign" went, but the moco monkeys screwed the wrong football.  They sent the black heads for my bike.  These recall kits get ordered by VIN so it's not the dealer's fault.  He ordered mine for my VIN and they sent a black one.  So I have my bike back and the ACR is still not working and it sounds like chit when you go to start it.  People look from 100 yards away everytime I go to start it cause it sounds like the motor grenaded until it finally catches.  I just proudly point to Harley emblem on the tank. :-[  >:(

Ya know, It's not the dealer's fault.  The service manager called and reamed the MoCo out.  As soon as the correct parts come in they'll get it right in for me.  They offered to put new ACRs in but I didn't want to go an extra day without the bike when they'd have to rip the same things apart again anyway.  I love my dealer and have never had any of the problems with them that I see here on a regular basis...

BUT - I'm seriously thinking about a F@#$ing spaceship Vision.  I'm sure I can get past the look.  I can make CD with the themes from Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Flash Gordon, Buck Rodgers and Duck Dodgers and just have fun with it.  Let's see, in the last 3 years I've bought a new '07 Street Bob in '06 and a new '08 CUSE3 in '07.  + a used Buell and 2 used dressers which I spent thousands on accessories for.  Grand total - Over 80,000 dollars.  Think MoCo'll miss me?

Therein lies the problem.... It's like the Detroit Lions no matter how many times they suck or are horrible they still sell out all the games.

Ok, I ran the V.I.N. on my 08 SEUC a few weeks back and it showed the 0906 notice.  I ran my V.I.N. today and it shows the 0905 notice.

I guess I better wait and see what the mailman brings :nixweiss:

Stupid question here...who has gotten "the letter"? I haven't seen squat in the mail as of today. What am I saying though, even the dealers around here in Redneck land haven't even got the kits in yet to even begin the repairs.
