just some more ideas, cvoharley.com still looks funny to me..... alos i really like the flag on the eagle, but we do have a world wide audience

Neal, please..... turn down the p.c. quotient for 10 mins bro.

Do you think a website, or cards for it, for Triumphs wouldn't be covered in Brit flags?  Etc, Etc, Etc.....

As this site grows, and becomes a potential threat to H-D (threat in that they may think someone's making money off their name and they aren't getting a cut), isn't the door opening to some liability by using terms like "CVOHARLEY", "FLHRSEI", etc.?

I'm not an attorney, but I'd think original terminology, not using copyrighted material, would be a better idea.  But I've been wrong before... [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

DJ, whether or not "CVO" was trademarked or copyrighted came up some time ago.  I looked then and didn't fit it being so (surprisingly).  You can use their name or the model designation but if you do so you must have the disclaimer.  You can even use the name or model designations in advertising or other descriptive literature for third party parts but, again, you must use the disclaimer.  What you can't do is directly sell something that has a copyrighted phrase or name, a logo or a trademark on it.

Striker it's more like a side track.  We're sorry.  We really are.  But as important as any topic seems to be it's always seemingly the case that Hooter's girls rate at least evenly with that topic.  We don't really know why it's that way.  Just an immutable law of nature I guess.  And we all know that sometimes nature calls  [smiley=beerchug.gif]

I don't have a problem with that, I just think if they are going to be called "Hooters Girls", they should have some hooters!  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

And on the subject of Hooters.......

Does anyone have any more insights, suggestions, ideas, criticisms, witticisms or just general commentary on Strikers efforts for the business card here.  The gentleman has put in a wonderful effort on everyone's behalf here so let's do him the courtesy of an honest appraisal.

We can always come back to a discussion of Hooters.  The interest in working on the card may be ephemeral, but hooters will go on forever (wow, that was almost deep).

Seems like at least the initial reaction is positive.  I'm not going to do anything until Naitram has the opportunity to respond.  But if he's happy with it as well I'll go ahead and touch base with the local printer as discussed above without waiting for the July dealer meeting.  The new card wouldn't require that.

Everyone who will want a batch of 500 send me a PM noting these things:

1) How many 500 card batches you want.

2) Your shipping address

We'll hope to get ten batches requested as I remember a discount at 5000 cards last time I had some printed up.  If we're close I'll just have the run made that large and hang on to the extras until someone needs them.  If Naitram gives the go ahead though now is the time to pony up the bar.  Let me know what you'll want.
