I installed the Full Sac baffles easy to do and you keep the stock chrome, baffles in three sizes I am aware of. This and a set of non CVO 09 headers and your in bussiness. Take off headers are starting to show up at dealers for around $50 to $100 depending on the dealer, add a tune and I bet you will be a happy rider.  Doc

I bought a Stock Head (no cat)from a non cvo 09 RG for $150.00.  I will get me the Fulsac Cores, SERT and hope for the best.  Since I do not like the Heavy Breather, is there an Airfilter change that is recommended if keeping the stock cover?

I talked to a guy at a party the other night who does quite a bit of work on his bikes.  I asked him about exhaust, and he has just used a loooong drill bit, about 1/2" and just drilled a hole straight into the mufflers, through the baffles!  Gets a little more noise, claims no other tuning necessary.  What's up with this?  Anyone got an opinion?

Resbiker, I think thats how stock car racing started. The mobile home people got sick of laying around stoned and did something about it. They drilled out their mufflers, hauled a$$,learned how to out run the law at will and eventually made a club called "Nascar" and wala, big money. Kind of like all star wrestling .... Just kidding around, Wisconsin humor! Any time you change air flow you should consider fuel adjustments or you could end up making a lot of noise and less power. Fulsac can sell you baffles for stock pipes. About a hundred bucks if your lookin to save money. Then get it dyno'ed or a tuner add on box.  :2vrolijk_21:

I agree!  Just posted this since I had never heard of it before, and I'll be leaving mine stock until the after market comes around.  Or FulSac..still not sure.  The guy was interesting, to say the least.

I wonder what mufflers he actually drilled.  If you take the baffles out of yours, you'll see that this is obviously not a solution that will do anything.  Where do you find a 4 foot long 1/2" drill bit anyway?  I find that to be a ridiculous idea, especially for your particulat mufflers.  I am trying to picture you walking into the shop and the tech pulls out a drill with a 4' drill bit and says "Where's dem mufflers?  This'll only take a minute."  Sorry, but just be glad he's not your dentist and move on.

I am amazed at what they are getting for the stock 96" non cat head pipe on E-bay.

I have had two that I have been out bid, by alot on so far.  Both I have seen went for over 200, which is where I stop bidding.

Non-CVO, non-California, cat-free touring headpipes w/stock mufflers which have had the baffles replaced by Fullsacs...
