I just purchased a Power Commander III USB for my ’08 SEUC.

I’m supposed to unplug my O2 sensors and the front sensor is easy. But how do I unplug the rear sensor?  The connector is buried under the starter. Is taking the Starter out the only way to get to the connecter?  I can touch the connector but there is no way you could get your fingers under there to disconnect it.  Any suggestions?  I already tried moving it around by wrapping a string around the sensor cable.

Also, why does the supplied O2 terminators go on the sensors and not the disconnected cables?

Hopefully someone jumps in here and helps you out on this.  It would be a bummer to remove the starter but at least you don't have to pull the outer primary cover like the 06 and earlier bikes.
Regarding the eliminators, I too would think they would plug into the disconnected wiring harness plugs.      Sometimes these easy jobs are major PIA..

Should be enough slack in the wire to get it out from under the starter, pull GENTLY.

If you work the connector losely or actually push it further back, then you can pull it towards the oil fill spout.  Once you are here it should come out fairly easy.  I have done this a lot and have never had to pull a starter.

I just installed one last week.  I just gently pulled the connector out from under the starter and unplugged it.  There was plenty of slack in the wire.  You may have to push it further under and reposition the connector before pulling it out.  There seemed to be plenty of room to manuver it out from under the starter.  Good Luck.

What about the O2 terminators? Why put them on the sensors and not the disconnected cables? I know the pictures show the terminators going on the sensor and the terminator connector will only go on the sensor but this seems bass ackwards. It seems as though you would want the cables going back to the ECM to be properly terminated. Terminating the sensor...what good does this do?

the o2 eliminators go on the bike's wiring harness. The sensor itself remains and is not connected to anything.

Mark, are you certain you're reading the directions correctly?  Here's a shot of a Power Commander instruction page for an 08 model.  Instructions and picture shows the terminator on the bike harness and not the sensor pigtail.

 Here is why I was confused. Below is the O2 Terminator.

And here is the ECM cable.  Notice that it has pins also. There is no way the O2 terminator will connect. The O2 terminator is "keyed" to go on the O2 sensor on the exhaust pipe not the ECM cable.

Ask those guys down San Fran way, they do that male to male stuff all the time! 

That is weird, looping the O2 sensor wouldn't help at all, has to go on the harness. Someone got the wrong connector.
