Thank you, Sierramadre! I loved that black RG but the new frame and updates really make a difference. The handling of the SERG is much improved (not that there was anything wrong, before). It feels planted in the turns and very stable but nimble, for such a heavy bike. I wish it did not weigh so much (power to weight ratio) but it does move. I've recored the stock exhaust and removed the cat. Runs cooler with more power. My heavy breather arrives Monday and Tuesday it goes in for dyno tune with a SERT like program that HD is not supposed to be able to detect. I'm a Jim Kerr disciple, esp. in the power dept.
Waiting on the new lindbar and may do some pin stripping. I have a tour pak coming, they say. I ordered it more than two months ago! Gardiner-Westcott has a new stainless steel / chrome fastener set that will go on. Tune trapper antenna and Hawg tunes system. WTS fitted a perfect curved licence frame from Kuryakyn. All that should keep me busy for a while. I'm happy with the seat and ergonomics though I liked your Badlander. Maybe I'll do a rider's backrest for the long trips....
How is yours? I've only seen one silver in person and thought it was beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice! I know you did the Super SERT and slip on Rineharts and were not too pleased with the paint. I could not help but smile about your SE Ultra side cover. My paint is great and so are the others I've seen in person, so very sorry about that. Have you tried a color sand? Enjoy!! Maybe some day we'll get to ride them together....
