Where in the World is Rjob 2008
« on: October 08, 2008, 01:26:25 AM »

Thought I'd drop a note that I have been gone for most of Septemeber fishing and hunting in Canada.

First in Manitoba fishing for pike and walleye.

Then 15 days in the Yukon looking for Bullwinkles brother.

Found one of his relatives in the snow.............

My PanOptix worked great in the jet boat when running the river to and from camp

We hunted hard for the remainder of the hunt but never got a shot off on a bigger one.  We had this 65" moose in sight but couldn't get him to approach.  As long as he stood on the other side of the river he wasn't in a legal territory.

So I took lots of pictures and had a great time, but now it's back to reality and work.

Oh, missed the meltdown on the housing market, not a radio or tv in 1500 miles of where I was.  Boy was that nice.

Good to be back now and seeing all the CVO stuff I missed.

Here's some Yukon humor..............

Thanks for the pics, Rog.  Glad you had a great vacation.  I bet it's hard to return to the real world after that trip.  I hope when you have time, you post a bunch more.  And can you get me a few of those bumper stickers?  I have two sons in college that definitely need one.

Cheers,
V

Hey, somebody has to do it. ::)

It was a good time to be out in the woods for an extended time.  We plan one more trip there in two years to see if we can't find a genetic freak (monster).

Folks that live in the Yukon have a great place for themselves, that is for sure.
