SixGun, thanks for sharing your pictures and wisdom.  Be sure to post new pictures after you remove the baffles with the ceramic blanket to install the larger Fullsac baffles.  Can't wait to see how the ceramic material weathered in the pipes.

Really interesting thread. 

I have the D&D Fat Cat pipe and went with the louvered wrapped baffle because of less noise.  D&D actually recommends the "Big Boar" baffle for the 110 CI motors but I was warned the Big Boar baffles were LOUD even the wrapped one.

So... was anyone able to tame the 2" Fulsac or D&D Big Boar baffles with this technique?

We installed the V & H header pipes and the 2" fullsac baffles, left the screen & packing intact.  This made a big improvement in power -- it is a little too quiet but the sound is awesome so we are not going to change anything!
