Took the plunge, bought a new anniversary SERK
« on: November 07, 2008, 09:48:22 AM »

Thanks to our faultering economy, I found a real deal on a new anniversary SERK.  A deal I could not pass up.  I love the look of these bikes, have since they came out in '07, just had a hard time paying upwards of 30K for a bike.  I admittedly am scared to death of the 110.  It is an early enough production bike to get the head recall, which is being done before I pick it up.  I for sure want to get past the 1,000 mile break in and put on pipes, a breather and get a tune.  I am thinking of going with the Bub 7, 2 into 1 exhaust.  I had the Bub 7 true duals on a 103 and loved the sound.  I have never heard the 2-1.  Can anyone tell me how the sound compares between the duals and 2-1?  Also, I am in the southern part of Illinois, can anyone recommend a good dyno tuner in the midwest?  I am buying this bike to keep and ride for years.  Modification other than stage 1 air breather, SERT and pipes are all I'm planning.  Also, can someone tell me what the Harley part number is for the SERT for this bike?

I got my SERT from the selling dealer installed before it left the showroom using # 32107-01L

I heard about a different tuner immediately, of course. 32107-01H.

I am sure someone will sound off with the correction to my part number, and it will cost me hundreds more...

If not, you have it.

Congrats on your excellent choice of scoot.   :2vrolijk_21: :bananarock: :2vrolijk_21: :bananarock:

I got RH TD on mine and love the sound.  Dealer put it on (along with SE heavy breather and tuned) before left the building.  Dyno'd at 1k.

Here it is, makes me want to cry......... Well, I did cry when i signed the financing paperwork.  But hey, you want to play, you got to pay........  I'm thrilled now that I have it home it's supposed to rain for 4 days.  I can't win.  Doesn't all that chit in my garage enhance this pic?  I've got to turn over a new leaf.  I'm getting organized!  :huepfenlol2: Well, maybe not, but I sure like this bike.

Congrats from an '08 SERK Annie owner....

I've had mine just one week short of a year now.  I'm not a heavy duty rider, more the weekend rider type.  I've got it in the shop now for the "enhancements" along with the 5,000 mile service.  Actually it has 6212 miles on it.

I've had to go to a thicker seat for the BSR and we bought a Sundowner.  It's not the prettiest seat going, but it's more comfortable for both of us, although the stock seat worked great for me.  I would have not purchased a new seat just for me.  Probably 95% of the time we're riding two up.

I've got V&H Dresser Duals, V&H Ovals, SE AC and the PCMIII installed.  It dyno'd at just about 90 hp and 104 torque.  After riding it for many miles on a canned map from very EARLY on the '08 PCMIII's, which it rode very good, the dyno got it smoother and more responsive.  It also picked me up about 7 mpg.

I never would have thought the color was a must have, it was the Annie that sold me.  Although now that I've had it for a year, I get all sorts of compliments on the paint and I do really love the color now.

So congrats and happy riding.

What number is your's?  Mine is 215/1800.

Have fun.

Don't get too concerned about the condition of the garage.  You'll have time this winter to straighten it up a bit.

Congrats on the bike of course, and the garage don't worry! The thing you don't realize is, you moved stuff out of the way to make room for the bike. So in a sense you started the clean up process already... Good job and take baby steps. It works for me.
