Congrats on the bike of course, and the garage don't worry! The thing you don't realize is, you moved stuff out of the way to make room for the bike. So in a sense you started the clean up process already... Good job and take baby steps. It works for me.

Since you mentioned the clean up.  I took off Veterans Day, went to a Veterans Day parade, then went and saw my dad (Disabled Vet, US Army, 1st Cav. airborne, Combat Engineer, Vietnam 1968-69).  Then I came home and cleaned up the whole garage, worked about 5 hours.  The bike has a much better home now.  I even found the top of the work bench!  I was exhausted, but it was a great day.

A new SERK and a clean garage home for her as well as precious time with Dad.... congrats!!  :2vrolijk_21: Sounds like your Veterans Day was outstanding on ALL fronts.

Congratulations on your new Anniversary SERK! The more you get out and ride your CVO Road King, the less the price that you paid matters....enjoy!

I hope that's true -- I'm embarrassed to say I paid almost $45k OTD for mine, but it is a "Bartel's model" with all their touches and upgrades (aux light kit, turn signal relocation, chrome front calipers, chrome engine and tranny bolt kit, chrome inner primary, etc.), but they did charge a $4,500 dealer surcharge (which is BS), and I bought it before the economy crapped out...

Anyway, I love it nonetheless...

You got the bike you want! I think it's very expensive for an '07, even new, with only those mods. Any performance mods? Engine work? Good luck with it man! :drink:

Now you need to change your avatar! ;)

Where did you get the idea it was an '07?  The FLHRSE4 is an '08...  Bought it in July of '08...  Definitely not a "last year's" model.  True -- it would have been way too much for a year old model and I doubt they would have got the dealer mark-up BS on a last year's model either...  That is, however, how I got my '06 VRSCSE2...  It was a "last year's" model when I bought it, and I ended up getting it for under $22,500...

And, yeah -- I do need a new avatar...  One of these days, I'll get a pic that's just right for the avatar...

Congrats JB Brown !v  Had to chime in.  Similar to you, thanks to the faultering economy I purchased the 2007 with the recalls all done, mapped, inner chromed primary, V&H True Duals, mirrors and lights for $21.5K before taxes but it had 3,100 miles on her (FYI for anyone looking at used these days).   But I was like you.  Loved these bikes since they came out, but could justify in my head the $30K price tag, etc.   Rides graet, killer motor, once in a life time CVO opportunity. Well done ! Ride on ...

So far, I have been able to control myself.  I have only done chubby bar mini apes, D&D fatcat exhaust, big sucker air cleaner and a Mastertune tuner.  I must say that I have had more fun riding this bike than puttin' stuff on it.  That is the difference between this bike and those I have had in the past.

Would you mind posting a couple pics of the chubby on your scoot, or pm me and I shoot you my email address if you want. I'm still thinking about giving the mini's a try.
