Thanks Red Devil - I'm in Williamsburg.

Just trying to tone this bike uo a little without compromise to the warranty.  I'm still looking for good ideas for tuning this bike up.

Thanks.

Richmond HD North, in Glenn Allen, Va, just north of Richmond off of I-95 will take care of you.  I bought my SEUC there and they've done right by me.  They have a performance consultant by the name of "Baggs".  Talk to him and he'll get you set up and then you can have the work done by their service department.  They also have their own dyno there.  I've had no problems with them and recommend them.

Hey Charlie........you ever been to that dealership called "Bayside?"  South of VA Beach.......I think the town name was Portsmouth, but can't remember.  Been a couple years since I was there, but they seemed to have their fecal matter coagulated.

Sure have.  :2vrolijk_21: Bayside definitely has their fecal matter in one polypropalene container.  I haven't had any personal experience with them, but a friend of my wife will only take her bike to Bayside.  They were featured in a AI article doing a beef up on an 88 ci if I'm not mistaken.  Porting heads, cams, lifters, the whole shooting match.  They're in Portsmouth, VA on the other side of the Elizabeth River from Norfolk.  It's an old dealership...has been around for as long as I can remember.

I REALLY like their service department and dyno.  The whole thing is like a glass room where the customer can walk around the outside of the glass and watch as his bike is being worked on.......or dynoed.  Satisfies the insurance company and the customers' curiosity...........and tells me they take pride in their work if they're gonna put it on display like that.  I'd trust 'em.  Williamsburg ain't too far north either.  Might be a dealership to consider for 09 Performance work.

I wasn't thinking about Bayside, but you're right, they'd be a good place too.  I think from Williamsburg, it would be 6 of one half a dozen of the other as far as distance goes.  :nixweiss:

You're right, Charlie.........there's a ton of them in that area.  Hampton Roads HD in Yorktown seemed squared away.  They were good to me every time I was up there.  Nickel one way, five cents the other.  That whole area has some great dealerships.

BTW, if you find yourself in Newport News.  Get off on J. Clyde Morris Blvd and head east.  Just past the Newport News Airport on the left there a little biker joint called Hoss's Deli.  It is next to a 7-11 and a Country Inn and Suites.  Man, they have some of the best crabcakes I've ever had.  Get the "Steamed Hooker" and a tall draft Yuengling.  Heaven in a basket.

"BIKES OUT BACK!"

I'll meet you there next time I make a run up to AATD at Ft. Eustis.

OK Red Devil

Local's here say Richmond has the necessay talent to do the job right.

How about your thoughts on installing true duals, power commander, stage one mod, and a dyno?

Richmond HD's dyno tech is very comfortable with both the Power Commander and the SERT, so that's a personal choice as to which one you want to go with.  The SERT provides more adjustability than the PC, but the PC is a little more user friendly, if you're the type that likes to tinker with the ECM.  I have Vance and Hines true duals and Vance and Hines Ovals on my bike with the Stage One air cleaner.  I'm very happy with the V&H setup as it brings the torque on a little earlier than the Rineharts, but gives up a little horsepower up around 5500 rpms, which is where I'm never at, to the Rineharts.  My bike, engine bone stock internally, dyno'd out at 90hp and 107 TQ.  I'm happy with those numbers.  You'll get a lot of opinions here on whether to go with Vance and Hines, Rineharts, D&D Fat Cats, etc.  If you want optimal torque, go with a 2-in-1 exhaust.  I have the V&H Pro Pipe on my Street Glide and have gotten used to the single pipe look on a bagger.  If you want the dual look with a 2-in-1 setup, D&D does offer a Ghost pipe for the left side to give you the two pipe look.  Just remember to paint the inside of the left muffler end with some flat black so that it will look like the right one after it gets broken in. :)

Thanks Charlie.

Have you heard much about the  BUB 7 true dual exhaust system.  See the link.  Looks and sounds impressive.

Charlie,

PC would probably work for me.  I just spit, polish and ride, but want good performance and sound.  If I turned a wrench on this bike, I'd break something for sure.
