Hmm...after thinking about it...there may be 4 sheilds. 1 on each head pipe, one over where they come together, and then the small one on the left side...

LOL...now I have to go out and look...

Confirmed...the stock '09 FLHX headpipe has 4 sheilds as I stated in the last message. I'm guessing all other '09 touring bikes have the same config.

Bub Mufflers, as most high end mufflers, aren't actaully heat shielded the way our head pipes are....they are manufactured where the outter skin is protected from bluing and buring by being doublelined...it's a manufacturing process. You'll have nothing to add to the core mufflers, like you'd have to with traditional head pipes...

Install 'em and go...

How much do they cost? If you don't mind me asking.   :2vrolijk_21:

Partycrasher,
It finally stopped raining so here is the clip you were asking about.  I attached it as a zip file.

Hey Guys, finally got around to taking a pic of the Bub 7 Slipons that I installed.  The sound is awsome.  Nice low rumble, but  when you roll on it,  MAN, what a sound.   I know there are lots of great exhaust out there, but for me, it don't get any better than the sound of  the Bub 7's.

I have them on my 2009 103" FLHX....love the sound. Very deep and rumbley with stock headpipes.

idle sounds very good...interstate cruising is really nice over my other pipes like V&H pro-pipe and the V&H big shots...much quieter on the hiway...till you hit it, then it gets loud...but a low frequency loud, not a raspy tiney loud...

Had a chance to see these on an 09 Street Glide at the dealership last night.  They really are a very nice looking set of exhausts........to the point where I went and found the salesman just to ask what kind of slip ons those were.  Didn't get to hear them, but lookin forward to it.

CVOSJOE,

Thanks for the BUB-7 slip-on sound bite.  I'm sold and they'll be on mine soon.
