Good comeback, but it would've been better if you'd weaved the fact that you found it necessary to remove your heel shifter in there somehow.

(ok, so maybe that's a slight exaggeration!)

I'll be looking forward to dude's reply to confirm, but I think the 26G's are what guys are putting in the 88's.

Jim, I've yet to change a cam in a twin cam.  Any special tools needed above and beyond those you'd have in hand for an EVO?

I have all the tools to do the change. you will need a press, cam removal tool, inner bearing removal and install tool, sprocket lock, tensioner pins to hold back shoe springs. around $300.00 for all the JIMS tools to do this. let me know if i can help  VG

Thanks hd-dude for those pics.
My guy in Rockaway N.J.,Ken Puzio at Black Hills Custom Motorcycle Parts,is going to be doing the gear drive cam conversion for me in the near future. Although he dosen't have a lot of experience with the 103",he feels the 26G's are the way to go especially if the 103" uses the Harley 203 cams. Can anyone confirm this? If not 203"s then does anyone have the stock cam specs?
Thanks.

I believe they are a 257 (definitely not 203's), but specs can be hard to find since the cam is specific to this motor.

The cams in our 103's are the 253.

You're right, 253's.  257's are in the book, but 253's aren't.  Here's a link to some commentary on the 253 specs from SHRADER: CLICK HERE

Here a clip from the 06 Screamin Eagle catalogue that lists the specs for the cams, including the 253

Based on the #253 cam specs,my tech feels the best choices are the Andrews #50G,55G or the KuryAkyn Wild Things #TC2G.
I'm more interested in torque and rpm's up to 5,000. The higher RPM stuff is of no interest to me.
