Buffy,
Just thinking about you and wonder how the surgery turned out? I know it's really to early to tell but would like to know that you are doing alright. God Bless and Happy New Year!

Had the surgery on the 30th, kept me overnight "for observation" and was home by 10:00AM New Years Eve.  Instead of popping a cork, I was popping a pill!  Shoulder is very sore, but not unbearable. (Much better than I thought it was going to be!)

I  was "scoped" so no big incision to deal with, but I really have to watch how I position the arm or it let's me know in a hurry.  Thanks for all of your support and good words.  Looks like the therapist and me should become best buddies!

Thanks again,
BUFFY

Great to hear you made it through the surgery in good shape. I don't envy you the PT as I've been through it twice with joint replacements, but as everyone else said, it's the Key To Success. I wish you all the best in your recovery. Keep us posted. I'm hoping Beagle is reading this thread.

Good luck on your rehab - I've had friends get that done, and it can be pretty painful if you aren't really careful in your movements. Glad it turned out as good as it did.

Oh those 2 hour naps and more pills, sure you can sleep, just don't move? Had my right side done June 07, Pain? Yes, and expect more to come. Sorry Bro, but I speak the truth. Two friends have had the same after mine and we feel for you in this time of pain. It is no secret I like Vicodin, but never more than 1 a day. Not after that surgery, 2 at a time 3 times a day! Expect pain, sorry.
Was able to ride about 8 days after the surgery, but only solo, if an emergency were to happen I was toast. None happened, but wouldn't take a chance with Lil-Bit on the back for awhile.
Heal up and sleep whenever you can.  Dave

Just follow what the doctor and rehab staff say for you to do post-op and you will be rolling on the road soon enough. I had mine done a few years back and haven't missed a steep since. Thoughts and prayers go out to you.

I don't know how some of you guys recovered so quickly. I had mine and had to wear a sling/brace for 6 weeks day and night. Other than just letting it hang or lay in my lap I could not move it at all by myself for 6 weeks. Only the the therapist could move my arm. After 6 weeks it was hell getting my range of motion back. All in all it was about 8 months before i was 100%.

Hang in there Buffy better days are coming. Save some of those pain pills for therapy.

Buffy,
Glad to hear things went well.Mistake I've made in therapy is if they tell me to do 10 reps
I figure 100 would be 10 times as good.Doesn't work that way.Just found out I've got bone
spurs in my shoulder so expect I'll need surgery before I get done.
Good luck with the rehab. :orange:

If ya need methadone let me know and I'll take an extra one for you. ::) Methadone does not do much for me, so maybe an extra one, two, or three might. It will keep me up all night though.
The shoulder will feel better day by day, not unless of course you slip and fall and catch your self with that arm.

Hey Buffy, good to hear the surgery went well.  Good news that they only had to do the scope.  Should recover pretty quick.  Hang in there.
