Good deal...Thanks mikey...I checked out the link Howie posted up; so now with you and Howie's help I know what to do and look for..Thanks guys  :2vrolijk_21:

Now...Back off topic (Kinda, Sorta,Maybe)...Went out and looked at the Ignition module and looked really, really, really hard. I think I managed to see what resembles a nut on the stud as you described. Soooooooooooooooo, I'm gonna do the "Nut Drive Grind" and see if it works. Now...Before I do that, I'm thinkin of purchasing the following items to go along with my Muffs, Ignition module, and A/C kit, then if I do buy the additional stuff; I can get the carb rejetted if needed, which I suspect it will.

1.  SE 8mm spark plug wires...PN: 32090-98.....$13.00
I bought these, not so much because I think they got something over stock, but because I could get them in 'Orange' which I think looks kewl with the paint on my bike - you can get them in yellow   :2vrolijk_21:

2.  SE Sparkplugs.................PN: 32998-01.....$16.00
I don't think that these off anything more than stock either.  On my build I have to go to 12mm SE plugs cause that's what the SE heads call for.  When I put in my single fire ignition system I stayed with stock plugs

3.  SE Coil 40,000 volts.........PN: 31653-97.....$55.00
From my readings, this offers nothing over stock, certainly with a Stage I build. The stock coil supplies plenty of volts to fire your plugs, even if you switch to the SE plugs. I do not think that you'll notice any difference in performance by putting this on

Total---------------------------------------$84.00 + Tx

Now...Will purchasing these additional items to go along with my muffs, ignition module, and A/C kit really make any difference (Noticeable or not) in the performance or throttle response, etc, etc.
I my opinion, no

I know how Howie feels...Howie be sayin FTSE...GO the S&S way  ;D

Mike's (RedFxr2) opinion as I understand it is the purchase of the SE Coil would not mean any additional gains in performance strictly speaking in Stage I terms.

And Tim (Who we haven't seen much lately) would probably say, "Blaine, what the hell ya doing man"?  ;D

And Mikey would say, I don't think you'll notice any difference in performance at all by adding these items, certainly not on a Stage I

So...If anyone wants to jump in with their thoughts...I'm ready now  :2vrolijk_21:  ;D

1.  SE 8mm spark plug wires...PN: 32090-98.....$13.00

I put these (black--wish they came in red, of course) on mine along with the rest of the motor makeover.  Really necessary or functional over stock?  Can't say.  Honestly, they were cheap and I was on a "Screamin Eagle" kick at the time.

2.  SE Sparkplugs.................PN: 32998-01.....$16.00

I highly doubt the functionality of these over stock HD or any other good brand of spark plug.  I use HD 6R12's myself.

3.  SE Coil 40,000 volts.........PN: 31653-97.....$55.00

Like you remembered, at Stage 1 you won't see the need for an upgraded coil.  If you ever go to increased compression, then maybe/probably so.  I have the SE coil on mine but only because I put SE heads on it, raising the compression to 9.5:1.

OK Mikey and Red.......Sooooooooooooooooooo, with you and Mike (RedFxr2) saying no increase in performance and Howie telling me FTSE stuff (Go S&S)  ;D I'm done buying for now and will install the A/C kit and the SE Ignition module tomorrow; then, see how she does. Take her for a spin and ride a bit; check the plugs to see if lean or not, then can decide if she needs a rejet kit....Thanks guys again for all your help  :2vrolijk_21:

TIM.......................................WHERE YA BE AT MAN?  :nixweiss:  Life ain't tha same with out you hangin with us; come back and see us  :2vrolijk_21:  :)

Blaine:  Just something to think about--didn't I read in one of FXR4Mikey's posts about his aftermarket coil that won't fit behind the stock FXR coil cover?  If it's important to you, you might want to verify, if you go aftermarket, that it will.

Of course, if you go that route, you may want to let the yellow Accel coil show, which would be perfectly understandable.

Yea, you did read that that; I remembered that also and have that in the cranial dome for future reference.

So...I just got back in from getting the SE Module installed and also I mounted the Ness A/C Kit. I didn't torque to specs on the A/C kit (just a nice good snug on all the bolts) cause I just wanted to get it on with the module already installed and start her up to see how she sounded.

She kicked right over which she normally does anyway; but after her warming up for about 5 minutes, I throttled her up a few time and I did get some slight snapping and an occasional short pop here and there. I didn't get to ride her cause the grandkids were home and couldn't leave them by themselves and haul a$$. So, tomorrow if no rain; I'm gonna drop Peanut off at school, come back home, torque the A/C kit to specs, throw in a new set of plugs and then go ride for a while and see what I got. I still think like "Tha Z Man", Mike, Brian, Mikey all have said that I will most likely have to rejet; We'll see. After the rejet if needed; I'm not sure I'm doin anything else to it other than what I just got finished with and the rejet if needed. Anyway, thank you all for all your input and keeping me on the straight and narrow with this thing  ;D  :2vrolijk_21:

That's right, but mine IS NOT a SE coil   :-( ...... I'm CHEAP and have an OFF BRAND single fire, 40K volt that is working FINE, No Problems, but it does not fit under the stock cover.  I'm sure that I'll be looking to change that over time  ......... which will, over all, cost me more money in the long run ............ oh well ......... it's maybe 40 - 60 clams ..... but that's a lot for a cheap bastage like me   :'(

If it's important to you, you might want to verify, if you go aftermarket, that it will.
I'm GUESSING, that the SE coil will fit under the stock cover ..... but that's ONLY A GUESS  :nixweiss:

OH YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!  That's whut I'm TALKIN BOUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :2vrolijk_21:

One thing about the Ness Big Sucker that I remember (I have one on my bike) is that the "O" rings that came with it were really small and delicate--much smaller than the machined-in groove at the head breather bolts.  Anyway, mine leaked a bit of oil from up there until I went to the hardware store and got some larger member-diameter "O" rings that more filled the machined gfrooves.  All fine since.

No guess.  The SE coil is the same size as stock.  I have one on my bike and it fits behind the stock chrome coil cover.

Mikey....I  know there's one person just as cheap as you......ME!   :2vrolijk_21:  ;D

Don't know about the yellow plug wires yet; they look good on Howie's FXWG and my Bro-in-law keeps tellin me to put a yellow set on too. Maybe I'll buy a set and put em on and see how I like  :nixweiss:  ;D

I noticed that also...They just fall right into the groove; I guess that's why they give ya a bit of grease (looks more like oil) to put in the grooves before puttin in on the backplate. Also, that backplate really had to be in the perfect position to be mounted or the bolts holding the filter to the carb will not line up. Had ta play with that for a while but finally got it. Anyway, thanks for the O-ring info, I'll remember that if mine begin to blow   :2vrolijk_21:;D
