As I had mentioned in one of my posts, I had asked my HD dealer to remove my cat when they were doing my other mods. A number of you were surprised that they would agree to do that. No worries I thought. They said yes and they know what they are doing. When I went to pick up my new SERG I double checked with the gent who was doing my work and he again assured that he had removed it. He also installed 2.25 Fullsacs. Being the man from Missouri (show me state) I quizzed him a bit more about what he removed. He said he got about an inch of material and no, he did not use a core bit. Something didn't smell right. Well, being a optimist I was still hopeful that he removed the cat. However being a realist I decided to order the core bit from McGill, just in case. Today, I pulled the right muffler and guess what. Yep, cat still there. A couple runs to Home Depot to get a rod and some bolts and I started drilling. Well, I only have a 14.4V battery powered drill. It took forever because the battery would die poretty quickly and had to wait for it to be recharged. I followed the instructions that many of you were good enough to write in the forum. Finally, I broke thru, but cat did not come out. So, I started her up, rev'd a bit and it came shooting out literally with a bit of flame, ala Batmobile. It is now out and measures 5" long.
I am quite disappointed in my dealer, Would rather they said no, then tell me they did when they didn't. Thanks to all of you for paving the way. Ted
