Here's one of the airplanes I flew.  Also flew the B-52 and smaller aircraft such as an "Arrow" and Cessna's.  Got to say the B-1 was the most fun!!  Have several stories to tell, especially about what both Clint Eastwood and Fess Parker thought of the aircraft!!

I had flown my C-170B  out one day to scout around for caribou hunting.  Scud running most of the way and on the way home flew through Isabel Pass.  Imagine my surprise when two of these babies came screaming by me several hundred feet away.  I'm sure the pilots were laughing there butts off as much as I was cussing them for scaring the daylights out of me.  I imagine they were heading up to Eielson AFB.  Quite a sight and one I'll always remember.

Man this stuff has gotten expensive...going the sport license route for no more flying than I'll ever have time to do...like I have ever had the time.  My father had a pvt license when I was a kid, also had an uncle that flew in WWII and another uncle owned/flew an old Veronica Chief for many years....lots of stories to be told...so, I guess its in the bloodline.   pic is from this last summer...it's a rental...can't afford to own/share.

When I was in the AF I was a co-pilot on a BGM-109

Just scanning this thread for the first time and read this ^ .  Can't help it.  Now have a picture of Slim Pickens stuck in my head that I can't get rid of :huepfenlol2: .

Taildragger.  You're nuts.  Me too I guess.  Did about half my student time in a Cessna 140.  Still like the taildraggers.

This Loadstar might be the ticket for both of you.  Would be interesting to see you and Miker sharing front seats.  BTW, will give instruction and sign-offs for beer.... :2vrolijk_21:

That would be cool.  Biggest taildragger I ever flew was 190.  Really nice aircraft too.  Loved that plane.

Most fun I ever had in airplanes was in taildraggers also.  Aerobatics instructor did all the training in a Citabria and later got to log almost 25 hours in a Pitts.  Trying to think of what other taildraggers have got to fly.  Few hours in an Aeronca that was a real rattle trap.  Radio was unnecessary in that plane as you couldn't have heard it anyway.  It had a VOR but you could find your way back to the local strip by following the trail it left behind.
