Larry, I received the same shield, I can't road test until we get some rain to wash the Salt off the streets, Im assuming that anybody going from a stock shield to this one is going to see some difference in wind protection, I was very unhappy with the Turbulence created by the Klock Werks, I did borrow a tall ClearView Recurve from a friend for a few days and was amazed that behind the Clearview the air was almost still, I did not like the appearance that well however, 61bbltop also was running a Clearview so this design in comparison may be a step backwards. If you get on the road first Id appreciate feedback on the quality of air reaching the sides of your helmet, With the KW at 70 mph it sounded and felt like someone was beating the sides of my helmet with a plastic ball bat. I thought the KW looked good sitting still so Im really hoping this similar configuration with a little different slant is the solution.

Mine arrived, took it out of the box, laid it up on the bike. looks good. It's like the KW only stretched. I fit it up and to me does not fit and better than the KW, Not that the KW fit bad. Just that I have heard so much about how I was going to love the new fit. It's ok, the proof is in the .....tapioca. will ride it Sat.

Larry did you get the KW shield to work with the stock 09 SERG molding?  Doc

my KW 12 was installed at dealer when I took delivery. road it 190 miles home and had no issues, with a 3/4 helmet. when I rode it with my skid lid, it beat the crap out of me. I did take it off and re-installed with the HD trim, no issues there. My motivation is wind noise. time and money invested in exhaust & tuneage needs to be heard. I'll be installing trim piece tonite. to cool pics here, can't do it from phone,  (:-)>-    its a goatee thing;

Yes I did, took a bit of adjusting with the offset mounts, then put the trim piece on and saw some voids, took it back off and tweaked it gently. Had it on and off a half a dozen times and finally it works, I do see some void between 1&2 and 4&5, very small, I may add some gasket material to fill, but if rides ok, I may not.

Mine arrived yesterday and got instaled.  The installed took longer than I anticipated, but is on and the fit is very very good.  The one problem I have is who is the genius at HD that came up with the docking hardware on the RG shields, it sucks big time.  I did the install w/ the parts that came with the CB shield so it hould be goo for a long time, but still it was a pain in the culo to get those rubber thingamajigs out.  Anyhow no road test yet, due to weather.

Also I did order the light tint one.  Now that I have it on hand I was hoping it would have been a tad bit darker than it is but it does look great and a quality product.  Let's Roll

I also have my CB 14 inch Dark on the bike. Fit is perfect. I think it is the best looking shield on the market. It is thicker than the KW and is all around better constructed shield, optics perfect to boot. The side profile has the perfect balance visually for this bike. Any improvement in the turbulence department will be welcome. I will have to wait for better weather to judge that. :2vrolijk_21:

Well, mine got picked up today to be returned. When I mounted it, it was lower on the right than the left and looked a little lopsided. I sent CB an email telling them what I had. Was a little disappointed when my return phone call (Not Joe), the guy I talked to was being very defensive and suggested I was being a little picky. But, said he would get it picked up, and they would check it out, but felt he would not find anything wrong..................

To be continued.............

Could someone post a picture from the rider seat of the 14". I want to compare it with the pictures I took.

I got my bike back from the dealers yesterday had a new complete primary replaced and everything inside it. Was able to mount my new CB shield on and all is perfect with it. No lop side even every where. If you feel its off it may well be, the test shields I had where off also, and I let Joe know about it, and they stoped the shipping till they corrected it, you may have one that got out before the problem was seen.  Doc    The test shields were only out a little but you could see it.
