Hey guys – my 13” CB  just arrived via UPS.  It's a 13” dark gray and from what I can tell without mounting it (my 09 SERG won't arrive until June) it looks uniform in design.  I've leaned it up against the wall and measured it (both sides) and yep they seem to be equal in height and curvature.  I guess only time will tell - I'll mount it as soon as my silver SERG arrives.

Cheers,

Rob

If you want, I can mount it on my SERG and test if for you.   :P

Does any of our current Cee Bailey "testers" have lowers on their RGs? I been riding RGs for a few years any currently have a 09 O/B SERG. After some riding and a little windshied "testing" I quickly had HD vivid black lowers put on. I'm interested to know how the cee bailey works on a SERG running with lowers. If your new to RG's, and the sharknose fairing, you would be surprised at the difference lowers make.

I gottem on my SERG, not new to RG's but new to RG's with Lowers. They work great but will be coming off soon, I hope. The 14" CB's is still pushing alot of wind at me. Am waiting on the CV light smoke Med.

I ordered a 13" dark smoke two weeks before Daytona.  A few days later I realized I might not have it in time for our trip, we put a call into CB and they got it out to us in time, shipped it second day at N/C, we found them to have great customer service.  I can say that I ordered the 13" because I didn't want a big ugly windshield, they recommended a 14" I'm 6', but.... now I have to get used to some buffeting.  They are expensive but being able to use the stock gasket is a big plus for me, I'm happy with it.

I rode 50 miles with the 14 inch CB. Not perfect, has some buffeting but on the light side. Compares to a medium shield on a bat wing fairing. Livable and  better than the 12 inch KW. I'm 6 foot and I see over it perfectly. Thumbs up so far. :2vrolijk_21:

Got in 235 miles today, 14" CB responds like my 15" stock touring. Little buffeting around the ears, but nothing I can't live with. I would have like to see a little bit more of a lip around the sides and in the bend of the step, I think it would take care of the buffeting. Bottom line, I'm much happier with the CeeBailey, than the KlockWerks.

I got in about 45 miles with my new CB 14" dark tint on the 09 SERG yesterday under varying conditions -- surface streets, Interstate, etc. I am 5' 10". I have no lowers.

I like this windshield a lot! It's beats the heck out of my KW 8". There is very little, if any, wind buffeting at speeds below 65 mph. Above 65 I get a little bit of buffeting on the top and sides of the helmet, but much less than the KW. At 85-90, it's only a little worse, but still much, much, much better than the KW. The only vibration I got was when the engine would vibrate a bit more under acceleration or deceleration. Otherwise, I didn't see a single shimmy out of the shield.

Bottom line: The CB 14" dark tint get a huge thumbs up from me.

This will be my windshield of choice. The CV shields are too "plain jane" looking for my tastes. Even if they are better at reducing the wind and/or buffeting at speed, I like the CB. It seems a reasonable tradeoff between an agressive looking windshield (sporty, though not as agressive as the KW, for instance) and wind protection (pretty good, but perhaps not as good as the CV or a stock non-CVO RG windshield).

The CB stays on my SERG.

Well, I am off shore right now, fly back into Houma in the morning.  I could pick the shield up on my way home to TN ;)

Joe called this morning.  He personally inspected my shield and  said it was perfect.  He made it sound like this one is not remolded.  Shipped it out today.  I should be a happy camper by Friday.  Rode some today, very windy conditions, with the "next to no shield"....think I'm going deaf.  Radio...don't need one under these conditions.

I got my first ride with the CB 14" shield yesterday.  No vibration that I could see up to 80 mph.  Much better than stock.

I am in a delema though.  Shield looks good, but I get lots of wind at my ears.  Un like stock It does not feel like I will loose my helmet or glasses, but much more wind than my fatboy with a windshield I look over.

I figure I need a 16 tall CB for better wind protection from the ears.  I figure this be squating down in the seat at 70 mph.  Catch is a 16 would have to be clear or light tint, as it puts it where I am barely looking over the shield.

I think for me a 14 is as tall as I can go and ride with good night vision with a dark tint shield.

I think I may just decide to live with the 14.  I just can not see loosing good looks, to get a bit more wind protection.  Another long ride will help me decide.

Dave, I wont be getting my repaired 14 in back until Friday, but with the Tinnitus I suffer with  I cant handle ear buffeting for any length of time, No matter how good it looks if my ears start to suffer its back to the Clearview for me.
