Not sure why this topic got moved to EVO? It's an FXR rebuild with some motor work but more external components than actual engine modifications. Oh well, at least it didn't get shoved out the back door.

It's not a CVO FXR (1999 FXR2/1999 FXR3/2000 FXR4) that section is for CVO's only just like all the other boards in the "Custom Vehicle Discussions" section. For those that are interested in keeping abreast of this build I suggest you use the Bookmarks feature for referencing.

Looking good Mr F. You will certainly have a one of a kind!

The thread was probably moved here because the FXR area is for the FXR 2-3-4 models. We're just FXR B.C.V.O.'s (before CVO's)   :o :) ;D

Well Mr. Feexit,  maybe you should have posted it in the FXR Photo's section of the FXR board where all the NON CVO FXR's are. Just remember; our CVO FXr's are FXR's first as all those FXR's before ours. Thanks for posting it where it shoulda been....with that said the rules are the rules; so we smile, follow them, and move on to seeing your new Springer Fxr...Can't wait to see this baby man  :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21:

I might get bumped from this spot too. This is the EVO thread and this build isn't really about the motor... Uh Oh I'm gonna be homeless!

Not using the same exhaust. BUT you have to wait to see them. I have them but I am not ready to put them on. Still have to change out the clutch cable and the pipes would be right in the way...They do look cool though.

Actually I'm on an island and no one can hear me.  Will just have try asking my friend a question each day and see if some lucky day the wind currents are right to carry my words ashore.  It must be that; the island.  Surely he wouldn't just be blowing me off?  That would be rude and publicly disrespectful.  I know the man better than to believe that.

I guess realistically this thread does not even belong on this particular web sight. It is a CVO sight and I should have realized that. I didn't and I apologize. In my enthusiasm I assumed an FXR was an FXR regardless of age. After looking further I see that any "bike" older than a '99' really doesn't belong here. This is a bike mod and not technically an EVO engine modification so it falls through the cracks. Again I apologize. I will put together a Photo Bucket journal of my progress. Any one wanting to see it feel free to contact me, I will send a link.  Again...sorry for the trouble. This is a great sight with tons of knowledgeable people and the input and advice has been great. Thanks.

Thanks TwoLane.

I've been posting on my old scooter here with no problem. I've been following your mods. Keep us informed and don't worry about this stuff. Ain't raining on us and nobodys shooting at us...it's going to be a good day! Oh wait, I've retired from that stuff.  :)
