Yes , my plans are to keep the bike. It is not that I don't want to ride again. The painted parts will take 6-8 weeks from the local dealer and, by then,
riding season may be over in New England. I will shoot for Myrtle Beach in May as the first big run and get on the bike as soon as I can when the weather breaks in '06.
I'm going back and forth about putting the bike stock or getting someone to paint a nice Screamin' eagle head on each side of the gas tank. The third silver color used in the paint job may look good. I may just get it back to stock looks. The bike isn't bad at all. It has damage on the front fender, inner/outer fairings, tank and one saddlebag. The motor, pipes, front end , etc. is all untouched. The "crash" bars or engine mount as H-D calls them, did quite a good job protecting the bike.
My other bike was a Deuce that was hopped up with 1550 custom gold leaf paint and lbs. of chrome. That bike is in Alabama now. A friend of mine bought it when I got the SEEG.
