hi guys, no news from K&N ?
My 29670-09 has a sorry look, probably time to change it.
I enjoy the frame look but I may move to another frame just for getting a real K&N air filter ( so efficient and long life !)

You guys do know the stock paper filter is washable? Strong solution of Dawn and moderately warm water and let it soak then wash with shower nozzle on garden hose.

I know , but never did it , i doubt whether the soap water and dust will stick together the filter-pores of the paper , carefully blow out the dry dust from inside to outside with a low air-pressure seems to be the better idea i guess ( but I didn`t try this yet too) .

My black AC-sock ( protection cover ) is getting to become more and more loosely , the elastic-strip is getting wider and doesn`t keep the sock in place , when touching the sock with the knee while riding then it was several times the situation that i nearly lost it , but recognized it before to correct it in time .

Is this sock available or is there a alternative ?
I should get a new one as soon as possible , but didn`t ask at the dealer yet .

yep I know, but I like K&N products & also like the "look" of them once installed, so far they have not answered my email for an update. :(

Klaus, RAINSOCK (or, SOCK,PRE-CHARGER,AIRFILTER) is HD part # 29762-09.  Looks like USD $22.06 is the common price.  Why are you running with it on so much?  It's alway beautiful weather in the pictures I see of your scooter.

The sock also keeps the dust away from the filter and the filter stays cleaner for a longer time than without , i allways have the rainsock "mounted" .
Don`t you use it so often ?
Only when raining ?

eww Klaus, you shouldn't run it that much, restricitve. to be honest, I never have used mine and don't have one for the Big Sucker. That sock should only be used when it's raining at most. bet you'll see temps come down
