I had a 1996 RK it was one of my favirite colors as well. Looking good.

I never thought Purple would captivate me like this, but it sure has.  I've always liked Blue, Black...........and especially GREEN........which is my all time favorite, but after acquiring this machine, Purple is a very close second.

Oh, by the way, the Green Bike has a Purple pin stripe.   :2vrolijk_21:   :cucumber:

Thanks, Scott.  Hopefully one day I'll get to show her to you in person.

Besides Honda Spray, it is a great quick detailer.  I'm more apt to use 6S on a dusty bike than Honda Spray, since it is more "fluid" than Honda Spray.  I took these pictures about an hour ago after returning from a quick ride in the country to fully test the new Heat Demons I got from you and installed yesterday.  Wanted to wipe it down before I took the pictures.  Here's a link for more info.  Pretty good stuff.  Other than Honda Spray, it is all I use for quick clean-up and detail.

Thanks, Gary!  I'm very pleased with her.  She's a rare find.  Hasn't required much work to get her up to my standards.  Still have to work on the paint some, but that's a task best left for a free weekend.  I noticed during the eagle sticker removal that there is some oxidation on the front of the bags and side covers..........nothing a little Glare Micro, Spider, and Pro Polish can't fix.  Toughest part will be getting rid of the slight sticker ghosting on the bags, since I've never done that type of work before.  Have a similar challenge on the ton truck, so will likely use it as a test bed prior to executing on the Purple Bike.  Need to freshen the powdercoat on the engine and inner primary, but that's easy.  There's always something to do with these machines, and I LOVE it!   :2vrolijk_21:

cant go wrong with purple  :2vrolijk_21:

Yessir, Neal.  That is so true!  Purple is a beautiful color.   I never thought Purple would reach out and grab me like this, but it has.  I have a friend in Clarksville, Tennessee with a Purple FLHRSEI like your's.  He bought one for his wife in the Candy Brandywine Red.  The only other Purple FLHRSEI I've seen is Q's bike when I was in CT last May.  Beautiful machine.  That Purple is really pretty!  And the custom Gray Corbin seat on his really sets it off.  He has alot of nice stuff on his machine.

or GREEN!

Looking good Henry!

SBB

Yessir, Chip.......GREEN is no doubt my hands down favorite, but as mentioned earlier, even the Green Bike has a Purple pin stripe.  It's amazing how attached we get to these machines.  That's a good thing.......no matter what the naysayer drivel exclaims.   :2vrolijk_21:
Thanks.  Every time I see that Purple Bike, I Love it that much more.  Like the Green Bike, she's a keeper!

Thanks!  I like it ALOT!  Jimi Hendrix would be proud.  I know I am.

But you lost me about "Prince."  WTF is "Prince?"  Is he a CVO Harley member?  If he is, I've never seen him post here.  Does he own a Harley?  The only "Prince" I've ever heard of is that royal dude in England, and I know there are a few of them in Southwest Asia.  Other than that.......I don't know of anyone with a screen name of "Prince."   :nixweiss:

I've been asked to take some pictures of the Purple Bike and post them here.  Though not a CVO, this machine has grown on me quickly and done a wonderful job of stealing my heart and becoming just as much a part of me as the Green Bike.  There's an individual here who has written "They're just bikes."  Whatever!  I beg to differ.  I don't know all I want to know, or all I'm gonna know about these wonderful machines as some folks who subscribe to CVO Harley, but I've been riding motorcycles for a very long time......a VERY long time.  I've ridden Asian, Bavarian, Italian, and other American motorcycle brands.  NONE have the soul of a Harley-Davidson......CVO or not.  None capture the heart like a Harley-Davidson.......CVO or not.  None bring so much joy and happiness like a Harley-Davidson......CVO or not.  Some will disagree, and that's OK......blasphemous in my house, but to me.......and many others, they ARE NOT "just bikes."  They are every bit as much a part of who I am as my physical and emotional being.

So, here's a few pictures of the Purple Bike, a 2002 FLHR.  She's almost an 8 year old by build date.  She needs some polish work, and that is on the schedule, but even with just a quick wipe down with BriteMax 6S, I think she's awful doggone pretty.

Enjoy.

You preach real good brother, thought you were going to ask for an Amen on the end
of that.
What you said is so very true for those of us who have loved bikes and riding all of our
lives.

I owned a purple wide glide for 5 years before I traded it for the nanner. Was a hard decision
to get rid of it. I always loved the color.

Green is my favorite color. Next to the nanna I like the green CVO ultra best.

Congratulations on having two beautiful bikes!!!   Enjoy them.

I've heard that around here before.   ;D

I think so.   :2vrolijk_21:

I know that had to sting a little, Mark.  To this day I regret letting my 02 Ultra go.  I've written that countless times here.  Wish I could have it back, and had the new owner not totaled it, I think I would have it now.

I'll not say I have a great mind, but I will say you have great taste in colors.  I LOVE GREEN!

Congratulations on having two beautiful bikes!!!   Enjoy them.
