I watched the service manager walk my bike along yesterday. I doubt he goes 150 lbs on a good day. It was so effortless. I told him about the discussion on the forum and asked him if the guys are trained to walk a bike properly. He just laughed at me and told me no.
I also got to see the easy way to show someone damage on a bike yesterday. Just after I asked the service manager about walking the bikes around, a motorcycle cop pulled in on his bike. He said the left muffler was falling off. When the service manager went to bend down to look at it, the officer said, "Here, let's make this easy." He just tipped the bike over and let it drop on the right engine guard. After looking at the bike, he picked it back up. I was talking to him while he was waiting for his repairs to be completed. He told me that it was another officer's bike, that he got a kick out of abusing it, and he enjoys picking them back up. Yes, he backed up the bike and lifted with the legs. Anyway, there's our tax dollars at work...knock you Harley down so you can pick it back up.
I told him if he ever sees me tipping my bike over on purpose, just shoot me, as I've apparently completely lost my mind.
