WFP, thanks for rubbing it in. We sit here and wait forever and you get to go make a decision.  Hope you trip going in the door.   LOL   Just kidding.
Hope you buy it and either enjoy it or.......put it on e-bay and make a few bucks.  My guess is the Black and the Autum ones will fetcha pretty penny right now with delays like they are. Whatever you decide, good luck.  Lucky dog.    :(

Maybe there is a silver lining for all of us.  I was told my bike would be here in Oct,,, then was told the ship date was Nov. 4th,,, so I called the Dealer on Nov. 5,,  and they said that HD had said there was a 6 week set back.  My Dealer called today,, and the first thing I said was,, " I know, it wont be here until Jan or Feb!"  The dealer said, no,,  we just unloaded it off the truck.  I think I had to pick my jaw up off the desk.   I still cant believe it.  I called tonight,, and they said the paper work for it will be finalized on MONDAY.   Hmm,, the weather report for here is 1"-2" of snow tomorrow,,  then snow Thur,,  Fri,, and Sat !!!  Monday  the highs are going to be in the upper 30's,,  so my first ride should be a CHILLY ONE !!!  I hope the heated seat and grips work good!!
Hopefully,,  everyone elses will arrive weeks before the Dealers have told you they will be here.

Maybe, but now I have to figure out the cash...and trade-in scenario.  Let's see if the dealer will take my (formerly mine) brother in law's 1997 RK in trade, I then sell the SEEG to him...interesting.

Let the FUN begin, happy to hear your new scooter is there.
Boy, that's a GREAT feeling, huh?  Almost as good as Christmas morning when you were a kid and looked around to see what Santa had dropped off for you.  Isn't it great to live in this country and be free to believe in whoever you want to as a child or adult?  Give thanks tomorrow on Thanksgiving as everyday!  Har!  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] spyder

jeffj,  I am finally th proud owner of my SE Ultra.  It was worth the wait, although I was getting ticked with all of the delays.  The paint job is great.  I bought a pair of those short antenna's from Freedom Cycle and had to take then off.  The extra thickness of the radio antenna caused some problems with the tour pack opening/closing...  It is only a few days old and I already have 800 miles on it.  You gotta love sunny Florida.  Have a great T-Day.

I think that short on on the CB side would render it useless, wouldn't it?

Well, not really. Ideally, an antenna for 11 meter or 27 MHz would be about 36 feet....one wavelength...hard to get on the tourpak. As long as the antenna has the electronic appearance of being 36 feet it works. This is usually done buy making the antenna a fraction of the wavelength...you may have heard of 1/4 wave antennas. That is 1/4 of a wavelength. In the case of cb about 102 inches. Coils and loading can be used to make a short antenna have the electronic appearance of  a full wavelength....ok ok, to answer your question. It may not be quite a good as a longer antenna, but it would not be rendered useless. Note: A properly tunes short antenna will work better then an out of tune longer one. Just my 2 cents. Oh and for the record, I found the antennas! http://www.dynasite.net/dynaweb/1000441/explore.cfm?p=N&store=Y&U=1&SS=1&S=1000441 for those interested   [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Jerry,

The Memphis Shades 9.5" is it Dark like the HD 6"?
How is the quality and fit vs. HD?
Do you like it and would you recommend it to other riders?

Appreciate your input and a pic if you can

jeffj

Jeff,

Sorry I didn't answer this - must have missed it at the time.
