Sounds like I need to contact the shop and see if they keep a copy. I would assume then that if they do have a copy, and I was in dire need in a far off land, the dealer would be able to e-mail the file to whatever dealer I was stranded at. I'm starting to see some advantages to going back to carburetors.
You paid for it - get your copy. If service will not then go directly to the principle. The file copy should not b e a deal breaker that would keep me out of the store.
I have no doubt they would use your file for a baseline on the next job similar to yours.
Oh yeah! give me a carburetor any day!
FI is obviously more complicated and expensive, but I'll take it any day over the carbs ..........................................
With a SERT (or similar) you can do far more tweaking then you ever could with venturi's and negative pressure

What I did when I had mine tuned was take a disc in with the bike and asked them to put a copy of the file on it. Some dealers/tuners will do this for you some will not...
those that will not, will not tune my bike.
Ditto here.
Spoke with a local shop last week on this and they said no problem, they just were not use to that request.
