One of the other things is that I don't think there are enough CVO's sitting in showrooms long enough for people to even see them there and to get familiar with them.

Yep, the only CVO's you see at my local dealer or in the parking lot, not on the floor. 

In the past three years, counting this one, not one touring CVO every made it to the show room floor.

I have been back to the dealer once on my bike, to pick up parts.  When I came out, there were a dozen people or so looking at my bike.

That is the same situation as when i have had the Corvette C5 ( 3 years ago ) . attention at every traffic light .
 Wow , was a good feeling , and now it is again with the SERG , everyone makes pictures of the bike , but most do not know ( like Louis mentioned ) what model or year it is ( not speeking about that they would know that it is a CVO , or what CVO does mean ).

The situation is the same with the SEUC and SERG here with several dealers. They almost never sit on the showroom floor. So, many people never see them.

The day I picked up my 09 SERG, the dealer rolled it out in front of the building about 2:45pm. I had to be on a conference call at 3:00 and didn't get off the phone until after 4. Every person that walked into or out of the dealer slowed or stopped to look at my bike. Several made comments to me or asked, "Is that your bike?" It definitely gets attention.

A couple weeks ago, when I rode in to drop it off for service, the SM told me everyone in the store watched as I rode by the front windows on my way to the service bay.

I don't know about you guys, but I love the attention.

Stopped for a cold one on the ride home from work last year and there was an SE Fatboy parked next to my CUSE. The guy was a local Sheriff and didn't even know what CVO was, I showed him what he had, he bought it cause he liked the paint? Officer, PAY ATTENTION!

I live in a destination bike town and have only seen one 09 SERG so far and it was at the dealer with a sold sign on it for $39,250. It was silver and a real standout.  Doc

Just in case anyone is still looking the dealer in Paducah Kentucky (Four Rivers) just aquired a fleet of CVOs.  Three Fat Bobs in the original three paint schemes and the three paint schemes on the Springers.

So, what you guys are saying, is the only people who can appreciate my personalized plate is the guys on this forum.
I had someone ask me what CVO meant, now I have a simplier answer........

My plate is now "MY CVO" and I've already been asked a few times what CVO is.  When I tell them, it just get "oh".  I do think there are more people out there that have an idea what a Screamin' Eagle is that know what CVO is.  Lately, I have been calling my bike "my Screagle" but I could only use 5 letters in PA for a plate, so that wouldn't work.

I've been surprised how many people that ride don't know what a CVO is.  But when I tell them "it's the Screamin Eagle models......Harley's version of a factory custom" they all seem to understand that.

Some ask a few questions after that, others just say "oh".  It doesn't much bother me, either way.

Have to agree with the CVO thing but Europe does know what Harleys are and obtain admiring looks/comments & photo`s everywhere we go, bike meets have an ever growing number of Harleys present but not so many CVO`s mine will be approx 1 of 50 in the uk (anniv) i am quite happy that way . Show Stoppers Heaven
