You guys are lucky over there, we in the UK dont have that much choice, NO redline, NO amsoil, never seen any Mobil 1 V-Twin, so we stick to SYN 3, ( all 3 holes ) unless any guys in the UK reading this know any different, maybe, we ought to import a crate of the stuff ::) :bananarock: :bananarock: :bananarock:

You can get any Redline or Amisoil you want from "Opie Oils" see link below.
They are good to deal with and are quick on delivery.
maybe if enough people in the U.K. are interested I can try to arrange a club discount .
They do it for other clubs?

Porthole, that is one impressive photo of the Redline doing it's job, no wonder my bike stated shifting like a dream when I put it in on the first oil change. Locating neutral was a snap as well. I'm using Amsoil in the other two holes. I'm considering upgrading to a SS lifetime oil filter soon. I think there are only two choices for the lifetime oil filter Go Power and K&P. I think Sadunbar runs the K&P, not sure if one is better than the other but obtaining replacement parts if they are ever needed may be easier with the K&P. Sorry about the highjack.

Filters that you have to clean? No thanks. I didn't like doing the canisters filters on cars way back when - not going to do on the bike  :nixweiss:

I have always used AMSOIL in my engines and Bel-Ray 85W140 in my transmissions.  Last summer I started using Bel-Ray 85W in my primarys.  Superior products.  Ask Hogbreath about how smooth my my transmission is.  Bel-Ray is awesome stuff.

Which Redline are you using for the Trans, this one "Redline, V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof®" or this one, "Redline, Heavy ShockProof®"?

Is this the correct one for the Primary, "Redline, MTL"?

V-Twin Primary Case Oil

Red Line’s new V-twin Primary Case Oil is designed specifically for ’84-to-present V-Twin American motorcycle engines, including aftermarket engines of similar designs. Similar to our MTL, this product is for use in the primary chaincase with wet-diaphragm spring clutches.

Designed to operate over a wide temperature range, this Primary Case Oil improves clutch operation while reducing wear and temperature. Where most synthetics are too slippery for clutch operation, this friction-balanced product is balanced to provide less slip, smoother operation, and helps to apply more power in modified engines.

Is there a major retailer that sells Redline? I have never seen it around here. But then again, I live in the sticks.

I run Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 SYN oil in all 3 holes, Yesterday on the Deals Gap (Dragon) trip was the first time i really put it to the test, Tranny shifed a lot smoother than on SYN3 or dino oil. And seem to run a little cooler.

I run Amsoil 20-50 in my motor and primary and 75-140 in my transmission. Seems to run cooler than other oils. I buy it direct from Amsoil with a preferred customer card ($20.00 bucks a year) and have it shipped directly to my house. I also use their oil filters.   A case and 2 filters is $140 delivered....
