O'fender,

If you didnt change your springs then you only have double springs in them heads of yours.   I called Rusty Dwire of Harley he is the Customer Service Manager for all of Harley and had him get an Engineer to verify and reverify that our heads are double springs and only handle a lift of .550.   Therefore knowing this and doubting you have something other than assembly line heads I say bullchit is what your spreading.   Now if you wish to challenge what their engineers say, tell me when, I will setup a conference call where you can be told how things are by the 100 years of engineering you challenge.  My guess is the person passing you the information is very mistaken in this case.

I just called the local dealer and made an appointment to have them split my cases and replace the bearings with timkens. Phew!!! probably just in time too, you know that SCIENCE and SKILL thing is a life saver!!!

O'FENDER ole buddy ole pal, how much is the dealer going to charge you to do the timken bearing conversion????? You know Zippers is way over priced and if I could save a few bucks I would drive a couple of hundred miles! With the price of fuel I might even save all of 10 dollars or so. [smiley=oops.gif]

Dawg, unfortunately I fear the poor man is on foot someplace.  Seems his triple springs somehow put extra pressure on his True Track or Ride Str8 (forget which) and it broke his transmission pan clean off the bike. That's ok though, a buddy is going to take pictures to document it all.....

I was just trying to have some fun and inject some humor while watching the flow of this lopsided debate.
