No it is not true, although the liberal politicians would probably think it is a great idea to tax bullets so high that nobody can afford them anymore. There are many reasons why ammunition is hard to come by lately including: high demand, hoarding, fear, scarcity, untrue internet rumors, and a whole slew of other reasons. Also, consider that 135 boxes is not a whole lot of ammunition. Last Sunday, my wife and I shot 4-500 rounds of 9mm ammunition at the range in a couple of hours and my daughter shot 200 rounds of 22lr. When I buy 9mm or .45 caliper bullets, I typically buy 20 boxes, that is 1000 rounds and only good for 2 or 3 trips to the range.
