09 SEUC SEAT PROBLEM
« on: April 21, 2009, 08:50:39 PM »

I ONLY HAVE 1K MILES ON MY ULTRA CLASSIC AND TONIGHT, WHILE DETAILING THE BIKE, I NOTICED THE FRONT SECTION, OF MY SEAT, WAS RIPPED, WHERE IT CROSSES OVER THE TANK . IT SEAMS LIKE IT IS WHERE THE MATERIAL COVERS THE PAN. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE TOURING SEAT?

I have not heard of anyproblems on the 2004/2005 SEEG. You might want to post this in the ultra forum to get a good answer.

Seems like the obvious thing to do would be to show it to your dealer so they can order you a new one.

No problems with mine!

6 weeks and 5,000 miles, the front of the seat is ripping. The dealer saw it during the service check and ordered a new one. The part number is different, so it looks like it has been corrected. I hope.

Mine ripped in the same place at about 1500 miles. Dealer ordered a new one and still waiting for to arrive at the dealer about a two to three week back order

The seat now has a different part number. Harley knows about it and has replaced seats.

Has anyone gone to an aftermarket seat?

I sat on a Burnt Amber and it seemed like I was way up on top of the bike, sot set in and ready like my SEEG.

Is it just really new, or is this yet another seat that would grace my storage shed, anyone?
