No it shouldn't do this.  Need to check with Zippers to make sure the base map is within range of the autotune taking over.

Sounds like the base map it to far out spec.

Just installed the ThunderMax w/auto tune on my 07 SERK i have appox. 600 miles on it and think its still learning, at times from red light its a little sluggish then at times it will jerk youre neck off. Midrange and up its a lot stronger than it was with the PClll, Heat i can't tell a lot of difference, but since the install the weather has been cool around here. Fuel mileage has has come up some from 36 to 40 mpg to 42 to 44. One big thing i have noticed riding around here in the Mtns. and riding 2 up i don't have to gear down as much as before, so it pulls better as well.  Also it has changed the sound of the bike to a deeper smoother note. So far so good.

You may already be aware of this, but if you run the Auto Points Analyzer, it will show the tuning statistics. If any of these show tuning variations of 30% or more, then you have the wrong base map. I find this a good way to check the accuracy of the base map I am using.
