I remember that gal....she was in some go-go bar on South Tacoma Way, back in '68 whilst I was in basic training at Ft. Lewis.  I was impressed with the counter-rotating and the ability to stop one of them & change directions on the other.  Made me wonder how trained other parts of her.....oh, never mind....getting off topic!  :2vrolijk_21:

I might have met the daughter as my encounter was about 15 years later.  Gives a guy the warm fuzzies to know that family traditions are still passed down like that.

It really is more impressive to watch than it sounds.....  8)

Given this particular costume it was a pretty sure bet ::) .

SHE must have been a 'drummer'  as they're the only ones that I've come across that can rotate a foot clockwise and then rotate a hand counter-clockwise without the foot changing direction.  Try it......only  :drummer:  drummers have no problem with it.  har!  :drink: spyder

The guardian bell on my KLR didn't do much for me when I hit sand/gravel that had pushed into the road and went down last month...in fact the highway bar the bell is on was bent up worse then any other part of the bike...(not as bad as my knee which took the worst part of all if it)

Still keep it on - its in my saddle bag on the SERK, had it on my lower crash bars and it was being ground down and bent

rather put my faith in God and riding skills, but hell - guess it can't hurt to have some extra juju?

Know that for sure?  Might have been worse 8) ?

Ok, we all know what it really does is make the person that gave it to you feel good.  And that is good juju.

And not to mention that one additional strange sound on a Harley does no harm.  :o har!  :drink: spyder

Greetings,

When I worked parts at a HD shop in Ohio the first thing we checked on wrecked bikes was where the bell was mounted, not if it had one, but where it was mounted.   It seemed like every smashed bike had a bell on it.  It was a long time running joke at the shop and everyone one that worked there believed it to be true.  NO BELLS on any employee bikes!!!

Took the SERG to the shop for some things & mentioned the incessant "tinkling" noise near the engine - FORGOT that the bell was there!! ::)

i had one of the damned things hanging from the chrome bar between the passing lamps and the first time i jump on the binders down goes the forks slamming the bell into the top of the fender . now there's a dime sized dent in the front fender. out came the buck knife, cut the leather lanyard and chucked that bell as far into a field as i could.

yeah, who knows...

my damn knee refuses to heal, you would never imagine how many times you hit your knee when you are packing/unpacking a house, gotta be the 500th time today - and every hit results in this blood blister thing

maddening
