PR3VS56--I kinda have an idea, but still tough to imagine.

Here you go.  In fact, if you want it it's yours for the cost of shipping.  I don't have a tour pak any more, and I don't think I'll go that route with this bike.  The rack is VERY solid, fits the detachable rails like a glove, and sets the tour pak just right (and level) for easy access.  You can open the lid, work on it, pack it up, whatever.  Just let me know if you want it.  It's not the most attractive, but looks and works perfect with a tp on it.

BigLew55--What size shelves are those? They look like 12 inchers, but curious how that size could accomodate the king tourpak against the wall! Would I not need a deeper shelf (18+ inch) to have room for the tourpak to sit level?

Tony

Standard 12" shelving.

I bought one off ebay.  It was like $80.00 - $100.00. It is an all metal painted frame that you mount on the wall and has a few pieces of metal round bar that you put between the two support bars and attach your tour pak, detach back rest, windshields ect...

I know is cost a few buck but I like how it works for me.

This was another one I was looking at on the Hells Foundry's web site.

Topper

I have this one and it works great.  The quality is good and I have had a TP on it for 3-4 months at a time and didn't have any issues.

This picture just show the tour pack covered with one of those small, soft Harley blankets to protect it from dust and dirt, etc. over time.
Now is this any way to store an extension cord?

Tough crowd here!

Yea, but I can handle it.  Still waiting for one of them to come and show me the right way.  I did notice that they avoided the topic of how they store their tour packs. :huepfenlol2:

I have 2 large shelf's that are very deep and hold the TP's very nicely

After having my chopped tourpak "roll back" while siting on the floor I made a rack. Piece pf 1/2" ply, 2 pieces of 2x4 and a 1/2" pice of fiberglass rod.
Works great.

When I got the king tourpak I needed something else.

Somewhere here on the site are pictures of a rack I made that hangs from the ceiling over my garage door.

Holds two tourpaks and all the back rests.

Just funnin with ya Larry.  I didn't take no offense.....hope you didn't either.  No thread involved, but all my extension cords are defensless.....they're inanimate objects. :2vrolijk_21:

Whoever wants this is welcome to it.  Honestly, it works beautifully.  I don't understand the racks that hold a tp tilted down or up on a shelf.  I always retained a few items in mine, and enjoyed having it off the bike when preparing for a trip.  Paint it black if you want, but it's a very sturdy rack.   I'd like to see someone enjoy it as much as I did.

The tp fits snug against the wall, and about waist high.  Easy to mount, remove, and work with.
