I bought a 15" MacBook Pro late last year. Upgraded the memory to 4 GB. Installed MSOffice for Mac, CAD, and a few other tools I need. I still wonder why I did not make the switch sooner. Unfortunately, work force feeds a PC, but having Office for Mac at home makes it tolerable.
Recently bought new MacBooks for Renea and Stef as well as an AirPort Extreme wireless router. Finally.......we have a network printer that works 100% of the time. They love their Macs as well.
I like to tinker with Linux, so have a cobbled together old Windows box I built during my last stint in "The Land of the Morning Calm." Installed OpenSUSE some time ago. Use it mainly to learn Linux. My brother got me into it, and I've been an avid researcher since. Still have alot to learn to come to to speed with my brother tho'.
The only Windows machine left in the house is in the garage. It is loaded with Power Commander, Garmin, and Daytona Twin Tech software. Found a Mac version of the Garmin software, but it isn't as feature rich as the Windows version. Hopefully......one day.....all three will catch up and offer Mac versions of their S/W, and the last Windows box will fall by the wayside.
