I've got the King Tour Pack with the lid organizer, luggage rack and spoiler.  They both ruin the look but it's for function, not for looks............besides, my ice chest wouldn't fit in the little one.

I've got the king tour pak on a detachable mount. I only have used it twice on trips that were several days long. I too feel it disrupts the flow of the bike, and only use it when needed. Along with that I don't like the rider and passenger backrest when I'm riding solo either (to me they disrupt the flow), but that is all a personal opinion. Reason for getting the king tour pak versus the chopped tour pak was strictly economical. You pay $100 more for chopped and get less space, somehow that didn't seem logical to me.  :-/

Pez,
Welcome to the board [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  I got the chopped pac, for the additional space as the 04 buyers had to pony up for either, I went for the flow with some functionality. I put on the spoiler and had the flames laid on to it. 8-)
I do alot of 2-4 day rides and most times I still want the kingpac, which I'll be getting this winter. with the spoiler and rack. Now my wife can have more room to buy chit and spend my money at a higher rate of speed :-?

JR, actually I just linked the original image instead of actually posting it.  So it wasn't mine to change sizes on.  But.....  can you ever imagine downsizing that picture?  Heck, I'd not only ride a Goldwing for her I'd ride pillion (on Tuesdays).

King Pak ruins the whole flow of the bike, for a minumal amount of added storage. Can't think of much else you could do that would look worse, but then some people put saddle bag gaurds on...

The only time I can see mine is when it is parked.  The rest of the time, it doesn't bother me.  What is behind me doesn't really matter.  Uh Oh!  Except you my dear in case you are here.

I don't know Duane.  Messing with perfection seems like a slippery slope to me.  Sure, some folks might do this:

How does the chopped pack work for  your passenger? I've been told the backrest is still too low. I'm thinking maybe I could shim it up a inch with some chrome spacers? What do  you think? I have the mustang seat and it makes the stock backrest useless. I think the king is just too much. I like the lines of the bike. I also dont want that big weight on the back it has to affect handling.
