Ok, no one go spend the money on the HD push button locks to try with their doors from PJ.  I just tried.  Won't work.

All your jabbering got me curious so pulled the push button off the fuel door and tried it in PJ's glove box door.  The lock housing have flat sides that key them in the hole they mount through.  To keep the entire housings from turning.

The flats are on different sides for he different locks.  The push button's inside catch is off by 90 degrees from where it would need to be when used in the glove box door.

Thanks for being the tester 2lane....
If someone can overcome the need to use a key, I am sure many more of these would be sold. (hint, hint)

I ordered the parts right away the very day I found them - but I'd pay the same again for any keyless solution  ::)

That's the EGlide Goodies doors.  Which, by the way, is also the Harley branded doors (same OEM).  Having had both in hand now PJ's product is far superior.

I have one twist latch and one locking latch now and like the quick access for one door.

Please check out these possibilities and see what you folks think:

Maybe if enough of us committ to buying,
PJ could retool his setup to work with some kind of quick access latch.
What do you say PJ?

Recv'd my doors from Pete today.  20 minute installation at the most.  Fits, works and looks excellent. A quality piece at a fair price.  3-day shipping.  Highly recommend.  Would be nice to have push button option.  I'd purchase.

Recv'd my doors from Pete today. I was told it'd be 2 days, so yesterday I removed the button snaps w/ a pair of small dikes and cleaned everything up inside of boxes. I just put them on and it took longer for me to open the box then to have the install completed. Its seriously taken me longer to put stickers on my toolbox. They look like they should've been on the bike from the factory. I'm extremely satisfied with this product, its something I've wanted but put off due to eglides prices(just been on the back burner). I also had it keyed to my bike. I mailed my "gold" CVO key to have lock keyed to it and upon return its just as clean as when I sent it. I also had him make me a spare which I'm pretty sure has my initials stamped on it(same as Pete's). I'd recommend this to anyone for both aesthetics and function it is top notch. :2vrolijk_21:

PJ has hit a home run with the doors.  Easy install as Don stated.

Kudo's to Peter on COMMUNICATION, DELIVERY-about 2 weeks with me sending in a key, PRICE, and PRODUCT.

Every Ultra or bike with lowers should have these.

It takes a key to open but does not require a key to close/lock.

Doors have stops at about a 90 degree angle.

Removal-I used a short 1/8" bit then pulled the head out slightly and used a side cut to snip off.   I did not have angled side cuts to snip off from the inside.

Install-merely push in 4 holes.

Here is PJ's left hand door with lock and a twist lock from McMaster-Carr beside the door.  It is zinc plated part# 1820A21.  I paid $4.45 and $4.75 shipping fo a total of $ $9.82 ..

Here is the twist lock in the door closed.  The closed locked position is vertical and the unlatched is vertical.

Outstanding!  Now whether someone needs secure locking or prefers quick access with PJ's excellent door package they are good to go :2vrolijk_21: .
