It only been 8 weeks since my parts where reordered,  all the dealer has gotten are the saddlebag lowers.  And they've had them for about 6 weeks.

I just got off the phone with HD Customer Service and they are requesting digital photos of the bad paint parts. They asked me to e-mail pictures of the bike to buellservice@harley-davidson.com and include the reference number of the issue number in the subject line. I'll take the pics tonite and send them out. Hope this is the start of something good.  [smiley=shocked.gif] [smiley=sweatdrop.gif] [smiley=surprised.gif]

You are on the right track, has to be headed for better results than what you have so far.

SE - Sounds like a step in the right direction. If it were me, though, I'd give some thought to taking the pictures in bright direct sunlight. In my case I could easily see a big difference then. You might be surprised how much difference it makes in the photos. Good luck.

Rocket Harley Davidson in Madison, AL replaced my saddlebag lowers this past week.  Picture is below.  Just to make sure I'm not losing my mind, please tell me what you see wrong.  Besides this, I had a run in with a belligerent mechanic who did not perform the tasks for which I asked.  I asked to have the left saddlebag adjusted so that the bolt holding the saddlebag support rail to the saddlebag guard wouldn't dig into the new paint..........moot anyway since I believe that bag's paint is still jacked up.  Anyway, this guy stomps off mumbling as if he's upset because he has to do his job.  It's been my experience that when you're at work..........you work.  That is what professionals do.  Seems there is  a serious lack of pride in workmanship at Rocket Harley Davidson in Madison, AL.  Steer clear of that place.  Columbia HD and Foster's HD aren't that much further away.  I learned my lesson.  Just wanted to relay to all of you that it would be in your best interest to stay away from Rocket Harley Davidson in Madison, AL.

Its obvious in the pic, can't believe they couldn't see it!  The left bag is old process, right side new.   [smiley=oops.gif]

I appreciate their trying to correct the situation, but the result is still the same.  >:(

Guess they will have to try again.  At least there is clear evidence now.

Some dealers really tarnish the Harley name.  I am so lucky to have a good one.

Good Luck Bagger!  Don't give up or give in!

I thought I was right.  Doggone it.  Well, Rocket Harley Davidson really screwed me.  They continue to insist they can't see anything wrong.  Rode to Foster's Harley Davidson in Tuscumbia today.  Service Manager siad he knew my problem before I had the bike shut down.  He seems very willing to help.  Told him the history, as well as the reference number from my phone calls to HD customer service.  He asked me to drop off my bike next week, and he would get an area rep to look at it.  Foster's is 90 miles away, but at this point...........I am not going to stop until every last bit of my Black Emerald looks exactly like my right saddlebag lower. Hopefully Foster's will be able to get something done.  Rocket seemed not to care............just wanted me to pay the 5K service and get out of their shop.  I did write to HD customer service about Rocket and sent a cc: to them.  We'll see what happens.

Sounds just like the dealer ship I picked my bike up at Cole HD Wythville, VA. The service guy there said he couldn't see any problem with the paint, but they still called customer service and told me to have them buffed out. Stay away  from Wytheville VA HD!! They don't have a clue on anything. I would tell you about all the dumb A$$ stuff they have done to me and my friends but I don't think the internet is large enough.

Here's the pics I sent the moco customer service department. The boss there is Bob (Rusty ) Dwyer. Dial 414-343-4056 (4,4,3 for paint). The email address I sent the pics to is: buellservice@harley-davidson.com with my ticket reference number as the subject. I suggest you contact them 1st to arrange for them to look at digital photos you take. I'm waiting to hear from Rusty as to whether they will authorize replacement of affected parts. I don't see where they wouldn't as you can see for yourself that the paint is the old process and needs to be replaced.
Good luck with your quest to get what you paid for. I'm rootin' for ya!!!
