dealer called today said all tins were in, took the bike in, went over every part with a fine tooth comb, everything looks great!!!! should get the bike back next weekend will post pics. my dealer ordered every  part that has paint. except bag lids. no rep ever looked at the bike. no digitals were ever takin, so anyone having paint problems and dealer or rep is giving you  chit about it I would advise to try anouther dealer!! evedintly some dealers can push this issue.(or will push the issue) and others just don''t have the go-nad's.  the dealer I use is a satilite shop and they worked everything out fine. took about 14 weeks to get all the parts. but it is a done deal and every piece looks great. good luck to all those who wait!! They have enough claims on this issue now, that they shouldnt have to have any idiot rep look at it. Why they are still making people jump thru hoops to get what they paid for is beyond me. They always play dumb like they have never heard of this issue whenever I call to ask wtf is up?, untill I tell them, That I already have a claim #. Ive been promised for over 6 months now , that I have new painted parts on the way.

Mike,

After reading the issue of timing in many of your posts I checked with my dealer and they had approval with a number and everything but no on had followed up and ordered the parts.  So we were waiting for parts that would never have come.

Thanks for the round about heads up, I wounder if you are in the same boat.  My parts are now trickling in one by one, so maybe when all is said and done it will have been 6 plus months here too.

I washed and detailed the milk dud today and just finished putting her in the trailer.  Headed to Foster's HD in Tuscumbia tomorrow morning for a second round of warranty claims for my paint.  The more I get jerked around, the madder I get.  I hope we can get it right this time.  Although the scooter is very clean, the mismatch in the bags make it look like sh*t, and the fuel tank and outer fairing are much more noticeable.  I am almost embarassed to ride it like this.  I keep waiting for some a*shole to holler "Hey jerky.........your paint is jacked up."  That'll make my blood boil for sure.

[smiley=soapbox.gif] Looks like I spoke too soon.  They opened the boxes today to replace the paint and according to the dealer "It is as bad as before, can't tell a difference"

This SUCKS.   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

New Update.  The factory rep came by H-D of Macon and agreed that the parts were still not right and ordered a second set.  Lets see how long it will take to get new ones in!

Right there with you.  My second battle starts in the morning.  For $30K, it should NOT be this difficult to get a tricked out touring scooter.

My parts were actually replaced before I pointed out the only new part that looked good was the front fender. They've ordered a second set (third really, if you count the originals). I hope they don't send me your rejects! At least they can't re-use my rejects since they're on my bike!
