My '06 Autumn Mist is lookin' great.  I use Cycle Care Formula 33 Spray and Wipe polish and cleaner exclusively after every ride and I've never even had to wash the paint in 2 K miles!!  Bugs just wipe off.  All panels match from HD with no mismatched parts...and no fading.  I hope this holds up.  I'm more worried about the use of Syn 3 than anything else!!  HD44

I've been away from this post for some time so pardon me if this has been mentioned.  On my melon I found that the clear coat is delaminating on the front fairing.  It is at the top of the fairing around and above the three screws which hold the windshield in place.  Probably had not noticed it before since I have the slotted chrome trim piece there.  Man-o-man is that clear coat thick!  Hope this is not a harbinger of further problems.  Anyway, service manager promptly wrote up ticket for his warranty guy to order me a new outer fairing.  Hope it doesn't take too long.  I'll try to post a pix soon.

MIght as well get it all replaced now with the new process.  Eliminate the clear thickness and get brighter color on all striped parts.

I have looked closely in bright sun at all thre colors and they all have the problem of the "mild duds", you just don't notice it as much on the other two.

I am not real happy that I was told my parts would be here almost 2 months ago, and now, cant get an answer as to whats up with them. At the rate they are fixing this problem...they should have us all taken care of by the time the 2011's come out.

Hey Cigarmike!

I'm with you.  Been waiting since May, BUT...When they finally come it it will be like getting an all new rider!

Stone chips...gone.  Paint swirl...gone.  etc...etc.

From the descriptions I've read it sounds like it will be well worth the wait!

I was told I would have mine by June and it is almost the end of July. I called customer service a few weeks ago they said they would check on it and get back to me. might as well wait till this winter now when riding season is over.

Mine is doing the same thing, though not too bad yet. Anyway, I just got home, been on the road 3 weeks. My dealer should have all new striped parts in by now - all he was lacking before I left was the front fender.

I just pick her up form the dealer with my new painted parts. I'm in love!  [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

It's perfect. It all matches and it looks great! It is a little overcast at the moment, but when the sun comes out I will take some pics.

It was a long wait, but so very worth it!

Now that at least a few of these are starting to be replaced it begs the question: Is anyone still being screwed with, delayed, or otherwise not absolutely sure they'll be completed to their satisfaction?
