Seems strange to me that with the strike slowdown that they would not have been caught up on all the past model service parts.  There have been a lot of instances of the dealers being in the middle of the delays due to a lack of ordering or followup.  If they intended to deliver, I would have thought now would have been the time.

Mike, I hate it for you.  Even though you can still ride, it must eat at your belly every time you look at the damn thing.  I promise you will be happy when its all over, but sheesh....until then? :snobby:

Its not so much where I might end up out of this, but the journey I and others had suffer to get there.

Im a man of my words, if I make a deal with someone, only something beyond my control can stop me from fullfilling it. Nothing pisses me off more than me fullfiling my end of the bargain, and the other party then not living up to their end of a deal. And it seems I am running into a lot of that lately, not just regarding the paint and MoCo.

So , No, Im not ever going to be real happy about this. I was promised alot by MoCo, just in their advertisements alone, let alone what freely spills out of the sales department  mouths pre-sale. Im at the point were I feel like ghost riding this f--king bike off a cliff.

Mike,
I'm still out here hearing your pain... I did get mine fixed (95%) but I hate that you (and others) haven't been taken care of by now. There is NO excuse for this. The only time my bike or I see the dealership now is for warranty work. They will get no more of my money (and this is VERY empowering for me!). Makes me feel a bit more in control of my riding and ownership. I need a new rear tire now but it will be purchased and installed by an independent shop. It's really sad though, it didn't have to be this way and truthfully I never wanted it to go this way. Unfortunately, the MOCO made the choice and I'm simply responding as a consumer would with any other product. I suspect there are those out there that are scratching their heads saying "Huh??" I truly hope they never go through what we've been through. Life was so much more mellow when viewed through the "Rose colored glasses".  ;)

Well, my gas tank is finally in. I looked at it today and it looks good. This is the last part to be corrected. I've scheduled to take the bike in Tuesday. It'll be good to finally get this grief behind me.

It's taken a year, all paints were changed out once still with the same problem, quite a few (bad) parts have been received and rejected. Finally the paint will be right.

ok all you folks still having trouble getting your parts. first let me say I don't know if this guy was just blowing smoke up my a$$ or not, but I do not think so. he gave me his card and it says he is DIRECTOR OF MANUUFACTURING at york .pa he said hes office is right next to where the cvos are made, I met him at the AZ state hog rally and rode with him on a few rides, we had a long conversation about the paint problems on the 06s, I did tell him my paint had been takin care of but there were still some cvo owners that were still not getting there issues resolved. I told him that this thread has been read over 30000 times and I gave him a card to this site, with directions on how to get to this thread. he said this is unexcusable, and he would bring this issue up when he got back. I went through the "we are the owners of your flagship model and we are not being takin care of rutine" and alot of other things. I hope this helps everyone who is still waiting!!!!!!! but, if not as I said he did give me hes card with email address on it, for all of those who still wait and are not gettin service they deserve pm me for hes emaill address!!!!

Hey Magoo!

Are you talking about spider swirls or true through-the-paint scratches??  All black bikes suffer from the spider monster... :nervous:

I have had  my CVO Ultra Classic for a year color Au tum Haze and have had no paint issues as of yet, mine is an 06
the only problem with this bike I have had the foot shifter fell off doing 70 mph on a busy highway I coasted to a stop
and called Stone Mountain HD where I purchased it and they came out and did a quick fix to get it to the shop, it was
repaired and I was on my way about two hours with a brand new part and so far so good. I will be bringing my bike in for the 10,000 mile service and new back tire tommar ow, all in all its a great bike and worth the ridicules price.
