Miracles Do Happen!!!!
I went to my Dealer today to pick up my bike, that  I had at the Dealer to install my Oil Temp Gauge and to check ou tmy Radio,,and when I walked in,, the owner's daughter(( who has been behind me 110% on getting me new tins that dont have the Milk Dud look to them,,))  said to me,,  Your New Paint just came in.  I asked her how they looked and she said she was waiting  for me to get there so we could look at them together.   Well we opened the boxes,, and sure enuff,,,,,,  I  have ~GOOD PAINT~ !!!!   Now this is my 4th set just so you know.  The set on my bike which was bad was my first,, and they are still on the bike,,,  the 2nd set they still have in boxes  in the shop,, for months,, which was bad,,, the set my Dealer could have had when she was up in Milwaukee,,, which she declined on,, because they were not up to par for her,,, and now my  NEW set,, that looks like the tops of my bags,, and inside of the fairing.   WHAT  A  RELIEF !!
So to all of you  who have Milk Dud paint like I have on my bike,,   you will be getting NEW tins,, that look the way they are suppose to,,and should have,,, somewhere down the line.  I talked to the Owner and my Dealership,, and he said that Harley has someone else painting the parts now.  I asked him if they changed painters,,  because of people like me,, and the others here,, who  b*t*h*d  to  the service reps about how bad the paint looked,,  that  the MoCo actually did something about it,, and he said that probably helped.   He asked me when I wanted the new tins  put on,, and I told him that I would bring my bike back there next week,, but I said it would be nice to be able to ride my bike there and drop it off,, and not have to tralier it over there,, if I had a bike to ride back for a day or two,, and he said he was sure that could be arranged.  I dont know if there is another Dealer in the Country,,  like this Dealer.  I will always go there ,, even if it is a 100 mile round trip for me,, where I could go to a closer dealer that is only 18 miles down the road.  I have sent some of my friends there too,, and they all speak highly of the dealership.
To ALL of you who are waiting impatiently,,   your NEW sparkling paint is just around the corner!!
Take Care All and Ride SAFE !!!

Thanx  Jeff,,
Mike,,  I got Bags,, Outter Fairing,,  Side Covers,,  Tank,,  and Front Fender.   So in other words,, I got all the tins that had more then one color of paint on them.  My Tops of the Bags,, Inner Fairing,, and Rear Fender were OK from the original parts. I just went back and saw that the first time I showed my paint to my Dealer was on Dec 21,,,,  so it  only took me 5 months to get GOOD Parts!  I hope EVERYONE who has the defective paint,,gets theres  taken care of like I finally did!!

Man, that is great news!!!  I was told by my dealer that the reason mine was delayed was because of the new paint, so I am confident now that I won't have to deal with that problem.  If mine's delayed for a month so that everybody whose had problems can get their's fixed, I am a happy camper!!   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

That really is good news. I bet the bike will look really good with nice paint. They don't look half bad with the milky paint. Send a picture when you get the tins on.

Hey Guys

Inspired by Gary's post I took mine in today.  The dealer will call MoCo on Monday as all their local reps are im Myrtle Beach this week.

They had not seen one come back, alythough they only sold two.

Fingers are crossed.

The drinks are on me guys.  I talked to my dealer and he was just told to get any and all necessary painted parts ordered.  I am riding down this week to go over the bike with a fine tooth comb before we order.  My tech told me that the parts were going to take a while to get but the MoCo fully admited the problem and is going to fix every bike that has a problem.  It took a damn long time but it sounds like we might have finally caught a break.  I hope everyone gets this news this week.

I originally posted on this thread that I did not have paint problems and that was true under the flourescent light in my garage...after paying close attention to this and looking at it under full sunlight I can see a HUGE difference in my bags and inner and outer fairings...I have looked into this thread to try to figure out how the best way to handle this is but it has gotten so long it is hard to understand. Can anyone tell me how I should handle this...I am positive that my dealer is not going to know anything about this since I bought the one and only CUSE that they were given. Is there any information besides this thread that I can offer them when explaning the problem and solution?

Take it to him on a bright sunny day and have him look at it himself...from the photos on here, it will be obvious to anyone who isn't blind. Have him call the MOCO and I'm sure they will know ALL about the problem, and hopefully help you and the dealer resolve it.  I've been keeping up with this thread because I have a BCCS ordered...delayed now because of the fix on the paint, which is fine by me.

First step is to call customer care and GET A REFERENCE # for your complaint. Let the paint warranty dept. know that your friends who also have  Black Crimson SEEG's gave you this number to call as they are getting their painted parts replaced for the same problem. They will instruct you on what you should do next, most likey going back to the dealer for a rep to look at it. When I called them, they sent me an email to copy pics and send back to them of my paint. Hopefully they are now past the BS rep's looking at them and will just work with your dealer to replace the parts , and you wont have to jump thru hoops to get satsifaction like some of us had to before you. Good Luck and kep us posted.

Can't hurt to get customer care involved.  However, I talked to the service manager at my dealer and told him of the paint problem.  He spoke to the Harley rep who instructed him to simply have me bring in the bike, go over all the painted parts I wanted replaced, confirm the problem visually and order the parts.

My dealer called me today to update that they spoke directly with and engineer and have a referance number.  The MoCo engineer said they are fully aware of the problem and are painting the new parts with a new protocol.  the manager and I had discussed the stripe issue and he noted that I was ok with it as long as the color is correct.

New painted parts on the way.  I went with all painted parts with stripes.

I'll let you know when they come in.  Ordered 5/15.

Just returned from my dealer and the new paint is awesome [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]. Big differance from the old milky paint. I received inner and outer fearing, saddle bags, front fender, gas tank and side covers. With the old paint set it was a smooth finish over the pin striping with the new set you can feel a bump, for lack of a better word, over the pin stripping. Not a big deal because the new paint is 100% improvement.
