Bruce, if that were the case, sounds like lawsuit time to me.  I can't imagine them doing that, though. Any chance of checking the bike?
Keep us updated.  And glad yer body is doing well.  Ouch, dammit.

Just got home from my daily dressing changes at the hospital and more fingers exposed, it’s amazing how fast the body heals its self.
I just finished a short hard right, a long sweeper to the left, then on the straight.  I was on the straight for at least 30 seconds before the wobble started so I don’t think the turns caused any problems. My speed was 65 mph when it all started and I think that I may have shed 5 mph before I went down.
I am trying to figure out what caused the wobble, it seems like a part probably had a complete failure, which started the wobble.  When I first bought the bike it seemed that it wobbled all the time that I was in any type of turn. I took it back to the dealership and they replaced the front motor mount and told me that many of the 2006 models have defective front motor mounts.  Harley went to a different manufacture and they were building defective parts.  So I am wondering if the local dealership would have replaced mine with a known defective part trying to use up their inventory.  I doubt it but it’s the only thing I can think of.

Harley buys back any part that is defective from the dfealers so it would be unlikely that a dealer would have knowingly installed a bad part.  There is no gain from their position and only liability.

It sure would be nice to get to the bottom of the wobble issue.  I had it once but I can't even remember which one of my bikes we were riding.  I think it was actuall a springer I had but not at all sure.

Glad to here you are on the mend and yes if you have those good genes the body mends quickly. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
