Nice response Jerry.  It's interesting to note that both Johnny and Zoomballs joined the site today.  Could it be they are one and the same??  Anyone with one of these bikes should have their bike taken right in to the service dept. and checked immediately just for the peace of mind.  My dealer didn't but we worked it out by me offering to remove the rear wheel myself, which I shouldn't have had to do.  We got it worked out but I'll always remember that when it comes time to buy a new bike----and that's why I try to do all my own service work.
I can see why you might think that. But "Johnny" the employee, and ZOOMballs the customer are not one and the same. Doug Green (reply #122) can vouch for that. I've been a Smith Bro's H-D customer for 15yrs. I've had warranty work on painted parts, seats, tires, and believe it or not, complete 110 S/E engines. So , on the heels of all the negitive. I posted my positive experience. This is not a paid testimonial, they wouldn't have to pay me. They're GOOD people. Thanks for the warm welcome.

I don't think Jerry's post was all that bad and when two people join the site the same day and post responses backing up a dealer, it sure seems like someone asked them to to that.  I also think Johnny's post was quite a bit worse than Jerry's and after everyone reads it, what will it gain?
What is there that you would disagree with about my post?  Don't you think that in this situation a dealer should immediately take a bike in and pull the wheel and check it, just for the peace of mind it would give the customer?  Remember these bikes costs over $30,000. Don't you think they could easily contact the MOCO and get all the info they needed to determine what to do?  My dealer already had all the info-I don't know why yours didn't.  Mine just said he didn't have time to do the inspection for quite a while, which I think is wrong.  If necessary a dealer should keep an employee overtime to check a wheel on a matter such as this

I still don't understand why recall letters are not being sent out to affected bikes... or are they? seems odd... :nixweiss:

Got my bike back from HD-Dude (Jim) after he installed my Dakota Digital gauges with RED LEDs. Brought my bike in to Dudley Perkins at around 3:30 pm figuring that I would leave it overnight since I just "dropped in". By the time I got home and was settling in (around 5:00 pm) I got a call from Dudley's saying that my bike didn't need the kit and that I was good to go! I told him that I'd just pick up the bike tomorrow. That was FAST service, even though there were a few bikes ahead of mine.

I'll pick up my bike tomorrow then post pics of those awesome gauges! Yay for JAY!!!  :orange:

After you've had a chance to have those new instruments out with the sun behind you please share how viewable they stay.  I've been curious about those for a long time.  Thanks.

Thanks for the link to the swing arm kraut.

Is there any central place on the net that lists the MoCo's TSBs and or recalls?

not to my knowledge.

Official recalls are listet by the NHTSA, many are shown here, but you allways have to know what you'r looking for. A very valid source used to be harleyhog until the MoCo discouraged him. I didn't find any better yet  :-X

I checked on the 14th, my SERG was not listed. Today I got
an email from my stealer, I'm on the list. Checked the link
again and now my SERG is on the list. Maybe this is for the
european SERG's, that they have to check twice, because
Moco didn't know where the bikes have gone.

Hmmm - that's remarkable. Put on the list after 14th?

The MoCo knows perfectly well who owns their bikes - at least if they were bought from one of their dealers, so that's no explanation.
