Thanks guys for your inputs;  so now I’m really confused.  Does anyone really know how many SERG’s were built?  I guess it really doesn’t matter but 9,000 is a long way from the original 3,000 first claimed.  :nixweiss:

Consider it from this perspective.  Separate and apart from that a variety of published sources all say 3000 units for the SERG (and around 4500 for the SEUC) if the make full productrion is the fact that many of us have seen that production.  The line at York where the bikes are built.

9000 SERGs would suggest perhaps as many as 20,000 bikes overall on that line.  As the SERGs are not the largest production in the overall group.  There's no way that line in its operating hours knocks down 20,000 bikes in a year.

I will be very interested in hearing how long it takes them to get the replacement wheel.  Please keep us informed.

My service manager yesterday told me that usually on a safety recall issue they normally ship next day. From the way it sounds I bet the turnaround will be quick. Going from the statement they made about not having any wheel kits until after the 20th. I think they made sure they had adequate inventory before notifying customers. I think the MOCO might surprise us on this one. They don't need any bad press right now. Has anybody else noticed how customer service is getting better at places that used to give realy bad CS?

Good to hear that for you.  Mine gets inspected tomorrow, also with a build date of Mar 09.   I am hoping for the same result.
