Since the average stock 110 torque starts dropping away at 3500 rpm, and the horsepower flattens not long after- what's the point of revving it up beyond 5000 rpm other than just thoroughly thrashing your motor?
hmm, maybe im not average
Same here, LarryB. My 110 turns
on the torque at 3500 RPM and just goes from there. My 110 pulls like a scalded dog (or is that a raped ape?) all the way up to 6000.
Stock redline is 5500. Check you tachometer. The lines and numbers turn red at 5500. The stock ECM rev limiter is set to 5500.
With the TTS Masterturne, you can change the rev limiter. Steve's map sets it to 6000 which is where mine is at the moment.
I redline her a couple of times a month getting on the freeway near my house. Not hard to do in 1st and maybe 2nd. Redlining in 3rd (or higher) is not recommended unless you want to risk a ticket with a pretty serious fine...
Just my $0.02 worth...
