I will plagiarize Don's picture for this tidbit
If you are not careful removing the hose from the pump you WILL break the small POS plastic nipple on the pump.
This isn't a big deal until you find out that a new pump will cost you $230 from a 20% dealer.
Don't ask me how I know
Ooooops. Ok, so follow Duane's advice and do not break your fuel pump!
Those Oetiker type clamps are different than what we're commonly used to. Used commonly for thin walled line in higher pressure applications (other places too, but that's a common usage).
You don't have to cut their full width all at once. Start with a good pair of wire cutters and cut through the first 1/4th or so. Twist the head a little. Cut a little more. Twist a little more. Soon the top of the clamp will just snap off.
To reinstall that type of clamp there are expensive Oetiker clamp specific clamping tools. Don't waste the money. A pair of end nippers carefully applied and ten bucks from most any hardware store will do just fine.
