That's what Lou said.  I would assume that the one I get from Bushtec will look like yours.  Still, having one that can hook up to a car/truck will be handy to have around (on the road).  Any other suggestions before I start buying all the other associated crap I'll need???

Do you know a part number for the fender thingy???  Does it come color matched??? I'm taking the trailer to the painter this morning.

Too true.  I'd like to find a bolt on version of the heim joint hitch pin.  Just for those oh-chit moments when alternative towing might be what gets you home.

Other suggestions.... Hmmm......   You scored so well it's hard to think of much.  The stand for the tongue.  Cooler for the tongue if you decide not to just set one inside (my little Roadstar is enough smaller than yours that having it on the tongue is worthwhile).  For some models Bushtec has a lid organize that will give you extra pockets suspended from the inside of the lid.  Aside from that you've got all the functionality covered man.  Have fun getting it set up :2vrolijk_21: .

Color won't matter to you anyway Matt.  They can be purchased painted; but only in FLHX colors.  So no match to our bikes.

I just dropped the trailer off at the painter, after a short discussion, we both decided that the trailer should look just like the bike, so it's getting the whole treatment. We worked a deal on materials plus a set amount for labor.  I have no idea what the paint etc. is going to cost,  but I figure about $300 for materials. Now I'm making my list for Bushtec (cooler, hitch.....etc.).  I'll keep you posted as to the progress.

I wimped out on mine and did the candy red to match the SEEG as mine's only color.  Then the Screamin' Eagle graphics added by a pinstriper later.  The base red paint job was about $400 complete though.  And they disassembled the whole thing.

I didn't completely SEEG-ify the trailer because I wanted it to look right behind both bikes though.  There's enough different reds in the old SERG that the trailer works well behind it too this way.  If the SERG hadn't been a consideration though doing the whole SEEG treatment would've been the only way to go though.  It's going to look like an entirely different animal when you get it back.

If the painter pulls the body shell off that would be the ideal time to replace the now years old air lines.  Just trying to think of more things for you to buy ::) .

If he does a complete teardown you might want to order another lid gasket, they are really tough to get off and probably won't take the abuse. Spray the interior carpet black before he does the exterior but spend a hour or two masking the metal parts first. Hey a little sweat will make you bond to your trailer faster.  ;D  Doc

I'm now looking for a small compressor to mount inside the trailer.  I have a pressure switch and regulator in the garage, wouldn't it be cool to adjust the air pressure in the shocks as your riding??? :orange:

I also plan to put a 12V outlet in the trailer, maybe an inverter just in case I need to plug in the hair dryer or mini keg cooler (yes Lou, I'll make the most of that extra 10 inches). ;D

None of that costs much Doc.  We can do better...

Hey Matt, here's a real one.  Get some LED bulbs for the trailer.  Especially if you do like I did and don't use the isolater.

Their six leg plug includes one for an interior light.  I took that to an A+ (unswitched) source, put a lighter plug on the end of it and use it for phone charging or anything else that 12 volts might come in handy for.

The air pressure to the trailer will vary to keep the wheels where you want them.  Depending on loaded weight.  So not one fixed pressure.  A company headed by the brother of the Bushtec guy already offers a package to do what you're considering with the trailer mounted pressure control.  Couldn't be that hard to rig your own though.  A simple plumbing point, momentary switch and a max pressure regulator.  Really wouldn't even need a gauge as your always just pumping until the wheels are standing up correctly.
