This is subjective but I've never liked the look nor placement of pegs attached to the engine guard. I wanted the pegs low. Kuryakyn has introduced "Flip Blades," described and pictured below. I've ordered a pair for the SERG but am told they may not be available until October. They look like they will compliment the Rumble Collection floor boards. Kuryakyn says they should not change the lean angle (much?). I've scraped the bottom rear of both floor boards several times. Here is a synthesis of Kuryakyn's description:
These pegs bolt in place on the bottom of the Traditional (#7540) or Swept Wing (#7541) H-D footboard. When deployed, they fold out & lock into place, much like a pocket knife blade. A release lever allows them to return to their original, almost invisible position when not in use. A hinge allows them to fold up & back if cornering touch-down occurs.
