Greetings,

not sure but I believe that the King is adjustable by 3/4 of and inch, with two sets of mounting holes.  The Chopped pack has only two so no adjustment.  I have the Chopped of course so my bsr wishes she had more room.  Maybe just a new rider, who knows.

I used to have the ridiculous leather tourpack on my FLHRCIs - and allways envied those E-Gliders with their king-tourpacks. So when my last FLHRCI broke down, I got Madame (and myself) a real touring bike: FLHTCUSE4, with king-tourpack of course - and detachable of course  ;D

You put a tourpack on because you want things to store in it. So take the biggest availiable - and leave it at home whenever you don't need it.

If I ride out by myself, I don't need no tourpack, no heated pillion and no H-K-amp - but if Madame is ever so kind to honour me with her esteemed company, those things of course are ever so essential  ;D

Chopped looks so much better that there is no choice in the matter. BUT if you must buy a large one, get the one for a Classic vs the Ultra Classic one. There is no way to make that butt ugly tourpak light on the Ultra one look any kind of good, plus it has the corners hacked up inside for the lights, wastes space and space is why you go to the large one.
I have had three chopped ones, so I am a little one sided here. When I bought the SERG I considered a CVO Ultra but didn't go for the Ultra only because of the large tourpak with the lights. IMHO.

I have a chopped for my Street Glide.  It also has a rack on top.  This combination provides plenty of storage.  However, it's only on for trips so looks may not be that much of an issue.  I've had two king tour packs on other bikes and always liked the looks of the chopped better.  It's obviously a personal choice.

I've got the king on the ultra and the chopped on the SE.  Took the chopped on a week's trip recently and had no problem with storage...I usually take too much anyway.  The King will definately hold more.  The king looks good on some bikes and the chopped on others.  The chopped usually looks good with a lowered bike.
